Seems to me that the problem with obsessing about another club, and making key decisions based on what they are doing, is that you take your eyes of your own club. We've all laughed at their managerial and player signings based on what we (and Ajax) appear to be doing. Every club culture is different from infrastructure to players to fanbase. Unless their executives learn to shed misconceptions about their own club, they'll only ever get it right by accident.
The rags have done it for years: transfers such as Wynn Davies and Tony Coton, but it has reached a crescendo in response to Pep and I’m sure this has played a part in their demise.

Their next few matches will be interesting.
Just imagine them drawing or even losing. The little raggies will be crying their eyes out for letting Mr Ed leave when he had them winning.

Amorim must have passed the DNA test. One thing about them is they're so very very organic. They don't operate in the same way as other clubs. Every decision they make is tied to the proud history of the club just like Berrada said. They would never dream of copying what anyone else is doing or wants to do. It's the 'United Way.' Only people who have made the difficult choice to support them in the 90s and 00s can really and truly understand it.

It's the hope that kills them in the end, not knowing their place there's always a better future around the corner. The reality is that they are a mid table side and will remain a mid table side.
