So the whole world can witness at first hand just how fukin shit they are? I actually applaud broadcasters for allowing this to happen.
Nah. The media are taken in by the rags constantly insisting that they’ve turned that corner AND scruffy Jim needs to use those brown envelopes to keep his club in the public (& global) spotlight so he can get funding for his new tent.
It’s working - the World Cup want to use the new stadium if it ever gets built.
You have to ask WHY the rags get so much attention when they are far from being the most exciting team to watch.
Surely on days when there is only one PL league match (& WHY is that?) Sky & TNT would prefer to show the clubs that are doing well & are great to watch??

Corrupt in every area now is football. ££££

Have to question the media agenda for giving rags full exposure. From 24 November until end of December there are 6 nights when only one PL match is being played. YEP - it’s Rags each time so there is no option for tv footie fans (globally probably) but to watch the rags on those nights. This includes Boxing Day when traditionally all clubs used to play & football was a Boxing Day treat.

The top clubs all play on a night when there are several matches to choose from.

What is going on?? Why are the rags being given special attention???
Thet lost income from ticket sales and tv money because they are not in Europe or the league cup so sky have bailed them out.

I think there just a shit squad of players and the hierarchy have finally realised that so will stand by him. How many United players would get into our or Arsenal's starting 11?
Non but I'd say the worry (for them) is how many would get in Liverpool Chelsea villa Newcastle Brighton Bournemouth Palace?? I can't see more than 1 or 2

Think they're on more on days where there's no other games as they have no other commitments like other 'no mark' teams who they're being shown against.

If they lose in the FAC 3rd round they'll play 40 games this season in total, to put in perspective last season which wasn't particularly successful for us we played 61 times.

Teams have figured out that if you give them the ball they shit their pants and don't know what to do with it. Sit in a low block and hit them on the counter and they crumble. They don't have the skill to break teams down that sit back. Mbueno already looking Gash. Only took them 3 months to ruin him.
If only we could sit back and defend …..

The only thing broadcasters/media care about is profit, the notion that they exist simply to promote certain clubs is nonsense. The same with political parties, every Labour supporter is adamant the media are pro conservative and vice versa. Like it or not the Rags have big global support so are attractive to broadcasters to generate profit. The media just like everyone else knows how shit they are Scruffy Jim isn't fooling anyone but a positive Rags story generates more clicks than a negative one-profit. A newly built Swamp would seat a lot of fans-profit. Your right football is corrupt but it's corrupt for organisations to make profit.
There is another simple practical reason that the Rags game get rescheduled this season, they are not in Europe so don't play midweek therefore it's easier to reschedule their otherwise weekend fixture.

Yeah they played 10 home cup matches last season which probably equates to circa 700,000 spectators plus all the TV/Prize money

This year, depending on the FA Cup draw they might have none, so the only way they can claim record profits at the end of the season (which they will) is to fleece their match going supporters

I don't believe it is nonsense I believe it happens and it happens week in and week out, the rags and the dippers with the arse to a lesser extent get sychophantic coverage from the press in this country.

The press at the very least pander to the peanut gallery and it amounts to the same thing as promoting them because in the main every single story they spit out tends to put them in a good light.

Watching the rags draw last night you'd have thought that wet spam wasn't playing, Neville and his counterpart were just talking about a rag shopping list and how they would be improved it's constant and it's real.

They do, a positive story on those clubs generate more clicks and therefore more profit.

I can pretty much guarantee United will get a home draw in the FA cup 3rd round against div1 or lower opposition.
It’ll be live on TV, because of ‘the magic of the cup’.

And if they win, they’ll get another home draw… and that’ll continue till the semi.

Got to keep the matchday income as high as possible, given the lack of games they have.

They could probably play a friendly mid season this winter with the lack of games - just to boost income at home.

I posted earlier in the thread that he got 1 point per game last season but their average was now around 1.5 points per game. If you look at this season, they got 7 points in the first 6 games but, despite some bad results, they have 15 from the last 8. That's nearly 2 points per game. Worrying. Let's hope they sack him soon.

If you believe even cup draws are corrupt I don't why you still watch, if I thought that level of corruption existed I wouldn't support it by investing time and money into it.

Profit is calculated by extracting costs from revenue. I am sure you're right about their revenues being flat at best but their costs will fall. There are only so many people you can sack though.

Yeah I was being a tad sarcastic as they always seem to dig out a spectacularly dubious new sponsorship deal.
