It's not just those two. This is from an article today about how Ratcliffe wanted to emulate City -

The influx of former City employees at Old Trafford has gone further than that. In need of a new performance director in September 2024, United turned to Sam Erith, who had spent 11 years in similar roles at City; in need of a new academy director following Nick Cox’s departure to Everton, they hired Steve Torpey, who, before having the same role at Brentford, had spent roughly a decade as an academy coach at City; in need of another coach for their under-21 team, they hired Wilcox’s former Blackburn team-mate Alan Wright, who had spent a decade coaching at City’s academy; their new chief communications officer had previously spent eight years in marketing, communications and corporate affairs at City Football Group (CFG), the multi-club group that owns City (Toby Craig)

That's at least 6 fairly senior roles at United occupied by former City staff.

CEO, Technical Director, Performance Director, Academy Director, u21 Coach & Chief Communications Officer.

You can buy all the best players in the world but if your goalkeeper is still shite you'll ultimately fail.

Apologies if question been asked but how can they take friendlies mid season to generate income? Would that not be against the PSR regulations ? Clubs that are struggling could just get an investor to organise a match to generate huge sums so how can it be legal and why has no one else ever done it ?
They made up the rules , so they'te allowed to bend them . . .

Does that Holland guy count as well who has picked up a coaching job after being a failed CFG manager in Japan.

Not taken the Guehi news well. Our spending is a joke apparently. Quite funny listening to them as they are the ultimate cheque book club. They are broke and have wasted hundreds of millions. Lovely stuff.

Almost time to execute order 66...
I really want to see the rags get relegated in my lifetime.

I've been so lucky to witness my club win every significant honour. Football would be completed for me seeing them go down. And to piss them off further I wouldn't rub it in. Because the rags I know would expect that and that would piss them off even more.
