I watched Villa vs Arsenal, and in the 2nd half, the Villa players looked fucked. Today again they looked fucked in the 2nd half. That does not hold well for a title chance. Yes, results-wise the 3 points is all that matter, but you have to pick up on the little things and Villa will need more
I really thought Villa were poor today but got the result because of two worldies. They are a very good side on their day but will struggle to maintain a title challenge. I thought wonderboy Mason Mount was the worst player on the pitch.

Aston Villa right up our arses now, and playing well ...... I can't believe we had that Morgan Rogers on our books for over three years, and didn't give him a proper chance ..... all we did was loan him to three clubs , and then fkn sold him !

Lookin at his age, the form he's in now, and the goals he's scoring, that has to go down as yet another major clanger dropped by City.
Ignoring whether we did, or did not drop a clanger selling Cole Palmer, who else is in your list of major clangers have we dropped ?

Edit: and following on from your next post. Kdb wanted to stay, City moved him on and Bernie is still here so neither had itchy feet in 2023.

U heard of a lad called phil foden by any chance
Phil made the grade here because he progressed through the clubs ranks, and was nurtured properly and encouraged by City ..... if we'd shipped him off on loan to Barnet, Sheffield Wednesday, Fortuna Dusseldorf and Austria Vienna we might never have heard of him again!

I suggest we take a bit more time, and look a bit more closely at the ones that we do bring here ..... sending him to three loan clubs, and then flogging him, was only sending the wrong message to a talented lad that had agreed to join our academy because he wanted to be here.

Echeverri is another .... he's been sent on loan to Germany and isn't getting any game time .... how's that helping him, or us ??? CIty are angry about it yet its they who have agreed to it in the first place !
are we to blame for ten bob being sacked wow

That’s one exceptional example because there was no other date available for the League Cup tie.

Give me another.
Pretty sure we play every weekend and midweek starting on New Year’s Day in January. Checked and we play January 1, 4 , 7, 10, 13, 17, 20, 24 and 28.

This is about the long term , not the short term ..... Villa have probably got a top class player for the next ten years there !

A player we had ....
Where would Rogers play for us? How would he fit in? He has less goals and assists than Phil has and he does not knit the play together like Phil does.
Rogers is a top class no 10 and looks dynamic with his pace and power. But, he is not what we need. Phil is a far better fit and has more to his game.

How many times does it need pointing out to you that Roger’s himself said he wasn’t up to it at City?

When we could’ve been giving him and Cole Palmer more game time, we were winning the treble and 4 in a row. Would you have preferred to sacrifice those achievements just in case young players became top class?

60 maybe, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's mid 60s.

Liverpool are 5th with 29 points after 17 games.

If they carry on with that ratio they will finish with 64 points.

Chelsea the same.
Pts for 5th place historically.

24/25 - 66
23/24 - 66
22/23 - 67
21/22 - 69
20/21 - 66
19/20 - 62
18/19 - 70
17/18 - 70
16/17 - 75
15/16 - 66
14/15 - 64
13/14 - 72
12/13 - 72
11/12 - 65

The last time a team finished with less than 61 pts for 5th was 2006.
