And what is to stop them increasing their borrowing? They are level on points with Chelsea who are in the last Champions League qualification spot. If they are permitted to spend, it is in their interests to do so.

The financial rules are made for Man Utd.
The fact that they're 1.3 bill in debt.

As long as the rags can make the payments nothing.
Crazy that's rules brought in to stop clubs going bust dont deal with debt.

But can they make the payments?

Their Q1 cashflow showed net cash payments for players of £100m. New borrowings were £105m. There was no cash surplus so basically they've financed transfer spending from borrowing. It's like paying your mortgage with a credit card.

I guess all the time it doesn't break financial rules they can use a credit card !

Is there anything that can make this stop, Prestwich?

Having said that, the level they're shopping at isn't really a worry for us anyway, but as they're well over £1B in debt, when the F is anyone going to call them out.....apart from us lot on Bluemoon?

Scum.

I completely agree. When they released those Q1 results the media were spinning the £13m net profit line, but not one journalist highlighted the point I've made, that they had to borrow more money to buy.

What about this other account that appeared last year the Red football account or whatever they called it . What was the relevance of that in their transfer budget ?

SSN reporting that the rags are looking at Wharton, Anderson and Gomesas well as Baleba. I thought they didn't have a pot to piss in. Does PSR only apply to certain clubs?
Always entertaining to track the ManU "transfer rumours" ! Prior to Interim Amorin's surprising (?) announcement that ManU " were not involved in any transfer discussions" - whatsover , NewsNow had gushed enthusiastically about the 20 or so players, the rags were chasing :

James Garner ; Yan Diomande ( already has signed! ) ; Manu Kone ( deal a certainty ) ; Conor Gallagher ; Salvador Blopa ; Yisa Alao; Jeremy Jacquet ( big money! ) Carlos Baleba ( No 1 target - £100M ); Jean P Mateta ; Joao Gomes ; Mike Maignan ; not forgetting -Jude Bellingham ( preparing a £130M bid !! )

The ever dependable Express advises that the rags "are exploring 8 signings" including a lad called Antoine Semenyo aswell as Adam Wharton , Anderson ( Forest ) , Stiller and Ederson Castillo. That's over £1 Billion -so far!

Subsequent to Amorim's announcement we are treated to further "tips" : Manu Kone (expected to sign -£60M) ;
Scott McTominay ( prodigal son -£60M ) ; Cristos Mouzakitis ( £75M ) ; Maamma ; Ivan Toney ( in the hunt -£40M );
Karim Adeyemi ( long standing interest -£78M ). That's a further £500M to add on. I'm surprised there was no mention of Mbappe. Could be a big squad -FFP/PSR ?

A few asides : the aforementioned Antoine Semenyo's preferred destination was evidently Liverpool but Liverpool felt the price was too high ! - not like Liverpool to overpay ( see Wirtz ). The rags are prepared to listen to bids for Mainoo ( in excess of £100M ) and Oliver Glasner is on his way to replace Interim.

Anyway, I suppose our rag-loving media will always pander to the clowns who inhabit the rag fantasy world. United must always be relevant. The phrase "YCNMIU" springs to mind !

p.s I appreciate NewsNow simply regurgitates items from the other media outlets .

Poor Edghill took some fucking horrendous stick over the years. I was embarrassed by the behaviour of a lot of our so-called fans. Nowhere near as bad as the dippers and their lobotomised followers, granted: but not as pure as we'd like to think. But that's the same everywhere, even non-league, you get an element of morons giving the club a bad name.

It was terrible. We was in PL one match and it went off. A few of us just had enough of the awful shit he was receiving.

I have never understood the concept of saying you support a club only to treat a player like shit. How can that help.

Edgehill much to his credit never lost the love for the club.
