After their first and last game in this season's FA Cup campaign, all they could talk about on TNT Sports is how beneficial it will be for the rags to only have to play one game a week.

A part of me wants the media, pundits and ex-players to continue to collude in the illusion that the rags are just one signing away from success.

However, it gets very boring and it feels more than a little awkward listening to the media blowing smoke up their arse. Especially when the world and his wife can see the rags are finished.

You'd have thought that those first managers you mention would look at the amount of managers who've crashed and burned there, and come to the conclusion that the grass isn't always greener on the other side. But yes I fully understand that the likes of Hurzeler, Glasner or De Zerbi would be set up for life after a year at Trafford.

It's not only that they'd be set for life. If they failed and were asked about it at a later interview they could just say the club is a basket case so they had no chance of success there.

Excellent. But Trawlers Ltd is also the name of Scruffy Jim's acquisition company that he owns his shares via. So the Seagulls have also shat on the trawlers.

We'll beat them if we treat them as a mediocre team. However if Pep has one of his brain farts anything can happen.
We took one point from the poorest rag side in 50 years last season and created very little apart from our goal at home in 180 minutes. And the only thing we really created in the 2024 cup final was their first goal.
