Obviously can't stand them but bloody hell what a massive favour they have done us.
C'mon now City. We can do this.
All those naysayers saying 'titles gone '
No it's not !! :)
Spurs and Liverpool to play away next. If we’re still close after those, then “we will be there”.

It would be piss funny, if we win the League by one or two points, meaning the rags' victory today made the difference.

Could the Rags now mount a late but serious title challenge under Carrick, with just one game a week until the end of the season?

8 points behind City and Villa, and 12 points behind Arsenal.
Every chance of top 4 which will be good enough to ensure Carrick gets the job full time - he'll never have it easier from now till May, reality will bite next year.

Since they were dumped out of the FA cup by BHA 2 weeks ago, they've managed a couple of results through a combination of decent play, gifted goals and decisions that could have easily gone against them. Should they kick on from this point and a proper run going, expect them to get some ridiculous decisions in their favour.

I can see it.

They look a totally different team. The fact we kicked it off with our disgusting no show is galling.

One game a week and cheered on by the power-wanking media. Stranger things have happened.

Just had to congratulate a mate, little did he knows, my heart was breaking...
Then I remembered it was 3 points off Captain Scarlet.

Did cross my mind

So this group of Rag players have just beaten 2nd and 1st in the league, both convincingly - they have clearly had these performances in them all season.
One manager out and a new inexperienced interim in to replace him, same group of players. All points towards said group of players playing within themselves all season so far, in an effort to get Amorim sacked.
If I was a rag fan (thank god and my dad that I’m not) I’d be fuming with this lot. Pathetic attitude from them.

PS they’re still shit. Wheels will fall off when they give Carrick the job full time in the summer.
The alternative explanation is that the players were asked to do things they were not equipped for. The formation was alien to them and required several players to play out of position. For example, the system required wing backs, but there are none in that squad.
A basic rule in management was being broken.

Whilst stranger things have certainly happened, they would be relying on the total collapse of not only one, but THREE title chasers, currently above them .... and what are the chances of that happening in the next 3 months or so??

In some recent fixtures, the Rags looked fucking hopeless. Just shows the character of their players when they go from being a shit as they were to what they’ve shown in the last two weeks, and that’s not a positive comment, it shows that their attitude was fucking appalling previously.
A Moron lost that dressing room yonks ago . Clearly the wrong DNA.

Let's get this into perspective - they've managed to win two games back-to-back and the media are going crazy. OK they've beaten the team in second and the team at the top, but both those teams are playing poorly at the moment and are struggling for any consistency, plus they're both in many competitions meaning a lot of tired, overused and semi-injured players, - basically they've played us and Arse at the right time.

Time will tell.

I doubt it, because I think at least one of the top three will maintain their own title charge, but the rags could well get top four.
Maybe so, however teams who for the last few seasons have attacked utd knowing how open they were at the back, will now play them they way utd are also set up. Ten men behind the ball, if not 11, with a fast counter attack and shoot on sight. It’s not rocket science, those tactics. Maybe we could try a bit of shoot on sight, we might score a few more goals?
