Few weeks ago I went to watch Wigan v Bolton. The quality was shocking, but at least Bolton tried to play on the floor.

Last night was not much different to that.

Hoof ball at its finest.

No playing out, just leather it and clear your lines. With Lump it Maguire as the main culprit, no surprise.
It was like watching Sky Retro except for the oversized shirts and the fearless leg breaker tackles . Dire football where one lucky hoof of a pass breaks the Everton lines . Not sure how the ref missed a second yellow when Ratface went flying in . Ref played advantage and nothing happened . If that had been us there would have been forensic replays both during and after the match .

He has done well Carrick but it does feel like Solskjaer all over again. Play compact and deep and hit teams on the break. Carrick also doesn't have the courage to start his £70m striker and brings him on as an impact sub. That has worked very well so far but soon there will come a point where he has to be more brave and start him. That's when things may change.

Carrick isn't the manager, the GPC is calling the shots.

The rags are looking like a team that plays..... once every 7 to 10 days.
Plenty of freshness and plenty of available players within their squad.
I said to a rag at work around New Year that you have absolutely no excuses to miss out on top 4 with your billion pound squad getting so much rest between fixtures.
He said "cheers mate".
The irony must of gone over the thick ****'s head.
You are in this position because you're wank, out of the domestic cups, weren't good enough to qualify for ANY european competition and are now thinking finishing top 4 after playing minimal games compared to the big clubs is like winning some sort of trophy.
I despair with the fuckers sometimes

I lost my enthusiasm early...probably with the Louis van Gaal campaign. Sorry, folks.

Looking fairly nailed on for a CL spot next season. To all you JCLs who were apathetic towards our various campaigns to keep incompetent managers in the gig there, I hope you're happy.
Don't worry, this is very much the usual pgmol assisted honeymoon period. We'll be campaigning to keep Carrick in a job before you know it

Last Sunday a utd 'fan' said to me in the pub "Why do we have to play on a Monday"? I told him it was because utd are shit and therefore Sky knew that you definitely wouldn't be playing in Europe this midweek when they organised the live games - didn't go down well, but the truth never does.

What I have never been able to comprehend with these plastic rags that never actually attend games is, why? Why do they prefer to watch Sly sports instead of actually being there and seeing it all with their own eyes? The sheer experience of being there: the atmosphere, the camaraderie, savouring the experience and reliving it in your memory for the rest of your life.
It's about being a part of an event, seeing the people you've watched loads of times before on MotD or whatever, seeing them in the flesh scoring and you jumping up and screaming with elation. But all these plastics have is edited highlights with Ratboy or Spitty telling you what you've already seen. That's not being a fucking supporter, that's being a consumer.

I watch grass roots non-league football now and get so much pleasure out of it: these fair-weather fans don't know what they're missing.

It's a personality/intelligence defect imo.

When they were successful obviously more of these types lumped on, as a personal ego boost.

But since the Glaswegian Bully's official reign, and the team has been overtaken by better run clubs and managers, I find it strange that their hangers-on haven't jumped ship for other "glory projects".

The common factor appears to be a shallow personality with a desire to be within the herd /flock of like-minded braindeads and inadequates.

Unfortunately it appears that no matter how bad the club/team are, our media will always seek to push them.

Their PR has been fantastic and very successful in spite of the shite football, sycophantic media and chaotic management.

On Monday I'd arranged a group chat with my mates to plan a few days away in Germany during the WC...lads on the beer etc.

One guy who until last week I'd not spoken to since the Newcastle away game the week before 93:20 is a rag but, has been let back into the group (tyranny of the majority and all that by others) He declined to take part in the WhatsApp chat as they were playing, apparently such a big red he listens on the radio...he's always been a wanker.

Exactly what their " support " comprises of :)

"Can't get a ticket mate" but in reality have never even tried.
