It’ll be running in the media all week, Burnham will be pushing a national inquest, there will be endless clips of where a similar challenge for us resulted in a penalty, with footage provided from 1994. They’ll then show the Rodri non-handball away at Everton and the Mane red card from 2017 on loop asking why these decisions happened but Utd weren’t given 3 points on Friday night(?). The people will want answers. And at the end of it all, Everton will be deducted 5 points.

I was watching the international feed last night and the commentator was waxing lyrical that they'd drawn 5 games under Carrick. Compare and contrast to other teams.Rags have played 33 games this season. Arsenal have played 49 and City 48. Rags have spent hundreds of millions on transfers.
The media is lauding this as an amazing turnaround whereas the reality is it's actually pretty crap that they spent all that cash, played so few games and yet they are still miles off challenging for the title.
Stick another 10 or so games into their legs, with the inevitable injuries and fatigue and they'd be fighting for top 6.
