I'm not expert (at anything) but....
I thought Freightliner were looking at the cost of having to buy new land and build the infrastructure, hence the price.
It cannot be based simply on the price of the land.
In 2023, the project to create a new terminal in St Helens was already set in motion. Years before any stadium plans at OT. Which also ties in with TfGM's vision to get commercial freight off the passenger transport network in central Manchester. 20 freight trains per day, currently travel right through the city. This is where Burnham also has interest. It's not all about the re-generation or meeting housing targets, they can get the cargo trains to piss off out to Widnes, instead of clogging up the rail network here. Freightliners eyes must have lit up when those stadium plans were unveiled. They could just keep adding noughts onto the price of that land, which is exactly what they did.

Where have you seen that the market value of the land is £50m? Yes cosying up to CPOBurnham is their strategy. Roche still claiming 90,000 jobs which would be amazing IF true, even the Egyptians didn't need that many to build the Great Pyramid!

If they ever get that new stadium in Trafford, I hope the HS2 people build it.

Can you guess which quote is which.
One is from a ragette riding the gravy train, the other is from senior official at the FA.

"We are going to build a new stadium in time for us to host the Women's World Cup"

"Ergh, build away but ergh you won't be hosting the final, that's at Wembley"

Ha fuckin' ha. Its about time somebody challenged the lies

Wish the banks would call in there loan's
I'm not too sure on that.

It could mean them going pop and UMS moving on. I'd rather the banks started making them pay more than just interest to reduce the debt and make money within the club that much tighter.

I also wonder how the banks assess risk with the numerous sets of books/companies that the rags sail under.
