By inflation calculator, do you mean CPI/RPI?
Because that’s a meaningless percentage in the context of PL football.
You’d need to look at the growth in revenue (tv, commercial and matchday) and spend for the time period to get a meaningful ‘football’ inflation index.
Whatever yearly percentages being used on that site ( valuball.co ) are far more accurate than anything else out there.
It’s still not going to be perfect, but is light years ahead of the fantasy Capology.
The closest I remember to a decent go previously was from Liverpool fan Tomkins, but that was about a decade ago.
