Are we really surprised? Swansea were always going to get beaten by Man Utd. Swansea have had an amazing season, and know they are safe from relegation, so do you really expect them to come up to Man Utd and pull their tripe out? Nah. Swansea players have that "I wonder where I'll go on holiday this summer" look in their eyes as they pass it about.

As long as the final score isn't 5 or 6 nil we can live with a Man Utd win. Even then, it still isn't the end, because they'd need the same type of score again against Sunderland, and even then need us to fail to beat a struggling QPR in front of the most fanatical Man City home crowd in history. As long as we beat QPR handsomely, it would take a near miraculous effort for Man Utd

I hate to be negative but sunderland haven't won a game since march :/ I have a feeling we will have to beat QPR convincingly to win it, scum'll win 5 or 6 nil today and 4+ against that team of ex rags.

Say Utd win 6-0, we still have a +4 goal difference.

Now goal difference only comes into it if we beat QPR and they win. So if we win say 1-0 they still have to win by 5 at Sunderland.
They are capable of that yes, but we are also capable of winning by more if we play well. If we dont beat QPR its immaterial.

Just hope Sunderland play fair and put a decent team out

Can see United scoring 5-6 tonight easily. And can imagine the fight in Brown, O'shea, Bardsley, Richardson etc against Sunderland. 3-0 at least for that match.

We need to score against QPR 3-4 goals maybe, clean sheet and not missing clear chances like today. That could be enough in worst scenario.

It could end up as 5 but we would still be ahead by 5"

there actually worse off because to pull the 10 goals back over 2 games would be a goal every 18 minutes now they need 8 over a game and a half (h-t)which comes to 1 every 16.87 minutes

I love this. Fair play that man. Can't argue with basic Maths!

I can see this being 6 or 7...Then they will get 3 at Sunderland..QPR will have eleven back amiing for a point. We'll need to do QPR 2-0 to make sure. Then the rag media will have orgasms about unlucky gallant United...
