united's debt

There's never 300 million rags in the world ......

he's gettin' confused with Miley Cyrus fans!

There are 5 million bicycles in Beijing.

There are also about 300 million fake rag shirts in China.

Also apparently the the Glazers took the idea of a running a football club in Trafford to the 'Dragons' -

They're all out..........

As a Utd fan obviously the celebrations were louder and longer then usual when reaching a final because we'd just beaten our local rivals. You'd be the same wouldn't you? I'm also detecting a massive amount of smugness over your new found wealth and our current financial situation. It wasn't long ago that you were all slagging Chelsea off because they "bought" the title. At least prior to winning it they were challenging and had recently won trophies. Prior to the Glazers unwanted takeover Utd were one of the richest clubs in the world built on the back of success on the field and massive support off it. Yours has been built on neither, you've won the footballing lottery that's all.

You may criticise Utd's "plastic" fans but let me assure you that the football tourists/foreigners who visit OT are also criticised by many longstanding Utd fans. However, it's the nature of the beast when you're a successful worldwide brand and don't kid yourselves that your owner doesn't want to take your club down the same path. The sheikh isn't going to continue throwing money down a bottomless pit because that's he what he's doing at present as your club is basically insolvent save for his ongoing financial assistance. At some point he's gonna want to turn a profit which will mean opening up the markets in the middle/far east which in terms of potential revenue absolutely dwarf that of the uk and Europe.

Back to the Glazers, they've sunk £250m of their own money into buying Utd (your sheikh probably has that down the back of his sofa) so obviously have a massive interest in the clubs continued success. We've already seen with Abramovich the interference that a billionnaire owner has with onfield matters, it'll be interesting to see long term what is the better ownership option.

If you had followed the purchase from the start you would know that at no point did the ADUG team mention a profit. What they said was their Business plan was to have a team who were the best in the world representing their Companies. They calculate the value from this being more important than a profit in monetary terms. It would place their brands in living rooms and bars across the world on a weekly basis. Many football fans including some City ones will not like this concept but what everyone has to face up to is that ADUG have the funds to do it. It is only a matter of the right manager and time. We now have both.

You'd like to think that at least 95% of those 300m will hang themselves as soon as the club goes bust, horrible b*stards

Ah, I see, interesting concept. As a matter of interest what are their brands?

That's exactly the point. In another year or two the profile will have been raised considerably not just here in the UK but globally. The one we are familiar with in the UK is Etihad but ADUG are major finance operation who normally do not have a very 'sexy' front. Have you ever wondered why big Companies like GE or Microsoft place adverts on TV that don't actually advertise a product? Its corporate advertising as seen in full page spreads in papers like the Financial Times. These adverts are designed to get the Company noticed and to 'place' them as household names. On the basis that football is probably the biggest sport in the world, what better way is there to get your Company noticed?

The bottom line is this, there is no way out for your club.

They already fill the stadium every week and have a massive global footprint that would be difficult to increase significantly.

Question: Where are you going to generate the cash that you will need to survive in 12 months time?
Answer: You will not be able to.

Whilst we will have an interesting next twelve months with massive, moderate, limited or no success, at least we have a future and we will have fun. You lot will be lucky to survive... your debts are now just too big for you to service, buy players and turn a profit.

Quite frankly my dear, you're in the shit and as much as you want to stand on the side and laugh at us you know thats how it is.

Never mind you can continue to do what you've always been past masters at..... living off past glory!!
