I never answer an unknown number.
Which is why covid track and trace is a joke.

Tis a good plan, but some hospital departments phone from unknown numbers. - On the other hand you'd expect a hospital caller to leave a message.

Had the same issue a few years back, at one point I was getting 250 calls a night. I complained to the mobile company but there was nothing they could do. After a week or so I was about ready to get a new number when they just stopped.
