have feeling we will dominate, miss some sitters then they have their first attack all game in 42nd minute which they score.
then Pep sends on Gundogan and we give away a pen and its 2-0, we come up to 2-1, then a good goal ruled out due to VAR offside lines, and they waste time all game yet we only get 3 mins extra time where we dont score. then next round Wolves losing 4-1 to Bournemouth.

Yes if there is any at all I think it's just a scaremongering tactic. Can you imagine them picking out the half and half tourist out for a spot check that has paid £500 a ticket?
I will tell you how they did it to me at the Wembley semi final last season.
You get to the turnstile and when you present the barcode it gives the message "ticket blocked, go to the ticket office "
You go to the ticket office and they take the ticket off you and check your id and then give you a new already printed ticket back.
They have a list of tickets that they have blocked and who's the original owner if that doesn't tally with your shown id,you aren't going in.
This is what happened, so don't be telling all and sundry it doesn't happen because it does and I can assure you it will definitely happen this season .

Most clubs have ticket windows next to the away sections and soley for away supporters and normally staffed by the away team staff.
Unfortunately the system is designed to catch you out, not to pre warn you.
Times have changed.

But where does it tell you that you have to carry ID to the game? I never take anything but my phone nowadays.

Section 1.9 of the manchester city away ticket rules which can be found under the ticket information

This is 100% correct tickets are usually available 2hrs before KO. Which is a bit of a shitter if you’re drinking far from the ground youre then in a catch 22 do I go out to the ground early get my ticket and see what’s around or do I go at the normal time and risk a massive queue

I'm fucked if I'm taking my passport to a match with me. I don't drive either so that's me buggered if I get picked out. I'll have my wallet, my phone, and my debit card that I used to buy my ticket with.
Credit card was sufficient for them.

Totally different scenario to what was being touted!! It was claimed that tickets would be held back for collection at wolves which I said was incorrect and I stand by that.

I think you’re being obtuse. It’s not that different and if it’s paper tickets then you will have to collect at the ticket office.

I honestly forgot my ID and my bank cards are on my phone believe it or not he asked had I any social media with photos on it like Facebook. Logged into it and showed him my profile picture and he was fine with that.

You also said they didn't do it at Wembley, which I replied too.
There are 2 ways that they will check tickets at Wolverhampton

1- if selected, you will be told to pick up your ticket at the ground on the day of the match with id as proof

2- block your ticket at the barcode reader on the turnstiles and you will be told to go to the away ticket office near the away section.

This is going to happen this season, trust me on this one.
And it is more than likely to happen when paper tickets are involved

Well if that's true then it's just another way of pissing fans off what about the fans that are travelling from far away and are cutting it fine for kick off? But I've not read that it's happening at wolves so I don't expect that yo be the case for this game as they should be giving warning to allow more time to get in.

Haven't you read the criteria for Wolverhampton .

Yes it says there may be some id checks where people will be asked to show photo id that matches the name on ticket. It also states that if anyone hasn't received there tickets a day before the game they r to contact City and they will arrange collection from wolves.

They are deliberately not going to send x amount of tickets out, this is part of the new strategy.

As you say you then have to get in touch with them and they will put you on the list for collection at the venue, where you will have to provide id in the name of the ticket holder.
That is one of the 2 ways they are going to check.
Please trust me on this I am trying to help and pre warn people .

Will the players etc have to give a list of who will be using the ticket or are these checks just for points holders and OSC?
