Bit of swearing at the football is ok.

Complain if you're in the family stand by all means but you shouldnt travel to the North Pole and complain its too cold IMO.

Don't think the op was really complaining about "a bit of swearing" tbh. It was about the effect on his lad, the reaction after he mentioned it & the aggression.

it's football, it's passionate, can't get my head round some bloke swearing at being 2-0 down at ht and it being questioned

OP
You are talking out of your arse
I have been going to football all my working life(you see where I'm going with this )
I have heard it all from a early age and to now
If you want to not hear the wrong naughty words why not go in the family stand
As for the other chap in question who you thought maybe a season ticket holder,he more than likely was and why can't he spout is mouth off,The club may be changing but the real fans will not.
Enjoy the ride or go to that place in Trafford where they don't express there feelings or emotions to there players.

I presume the middle and upper classes don't swear then?
I swear gratuitously.

Although there is a time and a place.

Hope that helps.

It does and I can at times but as you say a time and a place and with due consideration - some people have little control and I suspect that bloke is the same out of the stadium as if he wasnt he may have been sympathetic. Some understanding from him would have been greatly received and then accepted.

It's not a class issue it's a basic human issue.

A child is crying because you're mouthing off.

You stop because it's the decent human thing to do.

Smashed it like Redknapp

You are missing the point and I have already explained could not get the seats in the Family Stand - I agree we can all spout our mouth off (btw been going since 1969 and most of those years as a season ticket holder) but it is how you do it - some people have class and some don't.

Night all and love and peace to everyone!

Is the child crying because of swearing or because of the unpleasantness of a situation where one person has put a steward on another person?
