My point was pretty straightforward. Whinging about lavish weddings is missing the wider positive impact of said weddings. You put a bit of thought into your list for something that you didn’t deem deep.

Often depends on which Chinese restaurant you frequent. Been to some amazing ones as well as awful. My point of reference for a good one is if they bring the duck to your table and actually carve it up in front of you as opposed to it being done beforehand and bunged into a microwave. :-)
