Unpopular opinions

Again what terrible language to use. Are you saying we should deny working class people the right to vote? Or perhaps they are the only ones who are allowed a say.
The inability of this country to accept and move on is what is killing this country. The hatred spewed out on this forum alone is a sad indictment of our society. We are finished, not because of Brexit, because of people's hatred of each other and the lack of respect shown to others.
Free speech and voting rights for people who agree with you - gets my vote ;-)

Yep, the UK is fucked because people can't move on from a Brexit vote that has seen the country far far worse off than it was before.
Tories gonna Tory...
Why is it worse off ?
Your GDP is up and your unemployment rate is the lowest for 30 years. That's good.
There is inflation but that's everywhere, mainly Putin and covid.

Oh, my mistake Bill, it's the land of milk and honey and would be an even bigger utopia if it wasn't for the pandemic and that nasty Mr putin.

You might want to take a closer look at what Brexit is doing to the UK and not rely on a couple of stats that don't tell the story.

Nothing to do with class, mate - just as many idiots from the top bracket. I mean people who don't think things through.
The baleful influence of the demagogues.
I still think people made the wrong choice because of the publicity given to Farage et al.
Just my opinion.
If others disagree, so be it.

I’ve said this for years - way before Brexit - but stupid people shouldn’t be allowed to vote. People should have to sit a basic intelligence and knowledge exam.

Giving people certain choices is always a bad idea.

For example given most election results there is always someone unhappy with the outcome.

Again, if we were made to live with in certain parameters we would make it.

No one needs to die, apart from those that really want to oppose it.

I think I can say Sunday League hasn’t improved in all the years since I first was watching it when I went to see my brother Phil, referee in the Wythenshawe Sunday League and the Altrincham Saturday League and that was in the 70’s and 80’s. I went to spread his ashes a few weeks ago, a football match was being played at Painswick Park and honestly, the standard has not improved.
Women's football has improved tremendously in the last 10 years, especially the top level.
Wythenshawe Sunday League had more to do with hairy toothless fuckers trying to maim each other than football, great entertainment mind and your bro must have had some character to ref in that league. Surprised they’re still playing at Painswick, it used to pretty much all pub teams, pubs which now no longer exist.

I’d disagree with that. Certainly for the elite teams. They had five divisions in those days so obviously the fifth division wasn’t going to be a great standard. But the teams near the top of the first division were littered with ex pros and current semi pro players.

Funnily enough I was talking to someone just a couple of weeks ago about a game we both played in many moons ago. It was the semi final of the cup. Back in the days when the final was held at Maine Road. My team got beat but between us we could still name just about all of the other team. What a team they had. I’m not exaggerating when I say they probably would have held their own in the fourth division.

The British voter had a choice. They chose. Your bitterness does you no favours.
I am not bitter just looking at the cold hard situation.

That vote should NEVER have gone to the people, it was far above the normal man or woman to understand, it was a decision for the politicians to make, that's what they get paid for.

I think most of the great unwashed were swayed by Boris’ promise of £350 million extra going to the nhs as displayed all over his brexit battle bus

They chose wrong, more importantly many chose wrong for the wrong reasons and without really knowing what they were actually voting for.
It's been a shit show from start to finish and I think there's a case to be made for feeling bitter. It might not do them any favors but it's certainly warranted, especially when some of those who voted for it are still pretending it's a success with the attitude just suck it up because you lost.
The public were sold a pack of lies by the likes of Johnson, Ferrage and Recce-Mog, evil bastards that should be held account for destroying the country they claim to love.

When channel 4 news went over to Spain and questioned expats on the Brexit situation said everything about the vote and voters, a vast majority wanted to leave Europe and y give the big middle finger to their new Spanish hosts, simply mind blowing logic.

It's fucked because that is the British mindset. We resent people who are a success, who have more money than us, who don't agree with everything you say. In short, we are a nation of moaning miserable people who want to be that way.

There is nothing wrong with disagreeing, it is the language that is being used.

Now that I agree with. The country did not have a problem. The Conservative party did. They had internal issues that a clown thought could be solved by a referendum.
What annoys me is the public inability to now say fuck it, let's get it sorted.

The problem was and still is the fact the government had no plan B, they thought it was going to be a landslide vote to stay in, the never really thought the vote would go the way it did.

They wouldn’t. The gap between the 4th tier and Sunday league is a professional chasm. They’d get mullered. Every single week.

There were at most tops, half a dozen what you describe as elite teams, top of my head, The Crown, a couple of pubs in Altrincham who played in the Wythenshawe league always put up a good fight, was another the Gardeners? I can’t remember off the top of my head but out of the four divisions, there weren’t that many who produced good football, but the few that did, did.
I went to see my brother referee a final at Maine Road and Moss Lane. He was very well respected as a local referee.
