Urgent help needed- contacts at City

I genuinely think they wouldn’t and couldn’t care less how far any of us travel and who we travel with when making these decisions. They’ll have someone sat in an office who’ll be given supporters’ numbers, details of the “offence” and they’ll hit the button and, hey presto, you’re banned. Far easier for them to do that than to take the time in finding out the rights and wrongs. I’m sure it goes both ways - they’ll have plenty of sob stories from fans who’ve been caught bang to rights and this will inevitably tar others with the same brush. To play devil’s advocate, the club could simply say, “you gave your card to someone who was caught fighting and in contravention of the rules associated with being in possession of a season card. The sanction is clear and explicit in the terms when you buy the card.” You're not dealing with the bloke in the hut who used to run the travel club at Maine Rd. Sadly. You, me, us, whoever, we’re simply a number. I hope you get it resolved in your favour - keep us updated. Methinks you’ll get no joy though. They won’t want to set a precedent.

I have had dealings with both Danny Wilson and Lisa Eaton and they have ALWAYS, ALWAYS had the fans at heart. They are fantastic (no pun intended) and they work very hard for the club and for the fans. They are simply the best. To them we are definitely not just a number.

Not directly regarding this case but what would happen then if someone sold their seat on the official ticket exchange site and that person was kicked out? Would the original seat holder be banned?

No because there would be a clear evidence trail and the seller would be compliant with the Club’s Terms and Conditions. That said, I hope the guy with his youngsters gets in on Saturday.

The minority (this isn’t aimed at you Paul) who rush to criticise the Club have short memories and forget the Blue who was seriously ill in hospital after being attacked during the Celtic game. I agree with Bill’s advice.

He didn't sell on Bill, he swapped seats so he could sit with his kids, and the guy he swapped with got onto a fight with the scousers.
Bill is quite right that if you sell your ticket privately then you're held responsible for it and you are potentially (but not necessarily) breaking ticket T&C's if you do that. If he got in the stadium using his own ticket and swapped seats with someone when inside the stadium however then I don't see how he's in any breach of terms and conditions and how they've got any right to ban him.

Thanks all for the supportive messages and especially Blue B4 the Moon and Thomas Hearns for going out of their way to help me out - restored my faith in humanity! Lisa has been on the phone to me today and has confirmed I am all clear for tomorrow although longer term the club still needs clearance from GMP even though I spoke to an officer months ago. In any event, she has been great. After all this, watch us lose to Brighton now!

Sounds like you’ve had a good result, which is pleasing to hear.

Lisa is fantastic, always has been...glad she sorted it for you mate :)

Good stuff, filthy dippers causing you problems 6 months after the event. About the same time it took the Merseyside Police to fail in identifying the bus wreckers at Candlefield.

Glad it’s sorted, that’s a huge commitment you undertake to attend games with your kids.

Great news re your ticket. I hope you all enjoy the game today and for the rest of the season.
You and your family are real City supporters travelling such a long distance ( I only travel 50 ish miles). Enjoy the City journey !

He didn't sell it read the opening post.
I do wish people would read the OP before commenting. I clearly stated that I entered on my ticket. All I did was ask someone to swap seats so I could sit next to my kids as we hadn’t been able to get seats together. I realise I am supposed to stay in my allocated seat but I’m sure all parents will understand why I preferred to swap seats. Anyway all sorted. Currently on the train up for dinner at mum’s before the match. Not sure which one I am looking forward to more.

You deserve banning for even thinking of preferring dinner over the match :-)

Bloody hell, your mam must be a good cook to even think like that !

Mate I live in London. How easy do you think it is to get meat n tater pie down there? It’s all eel pie and liquor (whatever the hell that is).
Your ban would have been rescinded - you correctly call it "dinner" and not the abomination that is known as "lunch". Enjoy the day.
