Uruguay v Brazil | Copa America 2024 | Quarterfinal

Have to say that both teams were horrifically bad, but Uruguay was particularly thuggish (and seemed to get a lot of help from the ref), so them going through feels like a bit of an injustice.

Douglas Luiz & pens do not go together.

Well at least Savio can now complete his transfer to City now that Brazil are dumped out of the tournament.

Fuck both of them to be honest, that was a disgrace.

That was a shocking game. Brazil are crap and are now out.
It was more of an MMA game than a Football game, the most ridiculous thing was that Uruguayan thug almost breaking Rodrygo's ankle and refusing to leave the pitch when he got sent off, that was South American football at it's absolute worst.

Given the quality of the players, it was disgusting, disgraceful display by both teams. In 90 mins there may have been 10 mins of actual flowing football and80 mins of trying to cripple each other and cheat and waste time and make a mockery of their global footballing status.

Glad to see Brazil did not go through, but that meant Uruguay did…and there are not many more despicable and cynical teams than Uruguay…and they have plenty of history!

A real, European ref would have ended that game playing 7 against 7…if the teams woke the fuck up that one more red card and they would lose!

Disgraceful anti-football.

For the sadomasochists among us (warning: they are using “highlights” very loosely):

Brazil are shit
They also came to Wembley with lots of players missing and beat England

Not sure they’d enjoy the risk to their livelihood.
