I just can't see where we are going to get a win from away from home, particularly looking at the games we have got still to go. If our home form starts to falter we are right in the mire.

We are such a small side that we are always at risk away from home. Robinho has been pathetic in every away game so far, Richards was poor again today and SWP has been garbage home and away for about the last three months.

No physical presence at all up front - you can see why he is after RSC.

Too many lightweight midgets in the side. Needs to change.

And Hughes hasn't master minded one win from a losing position yet.

Poor.

Have come to expect it but to go for 90 minutes against a side like that and not test the keeper was truly abysmal. And against ten men!

Agreed. And the passing today was just poor.

Not good enough.

We are like a poor mans version of Arsenal. The amount of times we over played today was ridiculous. Plenty of flicks - no end product at all.

Graham Taylor slated us later on on five live apparently - said we were the worst organised side he had seen in the Premiership this season.

pretty funny if he did say that, we weren't great but we've been much worse on occasions. and what about the teams we've thrashed, pompey, hull, sunderland, wham, my god they were in a different league of disorganisation entirely.

SWP running around like a headless chicken in centre mid YET AGAIN away from home-against a team who were begging to be attacked down the flanks.Does my head in.

And the point about Robinho today was spot on-he slowed the game to walking pace whenever we were on the break.

The saving grace for MH is that a mate who went to the game said that he saw Hughes berating SWP several times to get back out on the wing and out of the middle....interesting.

As I said above, I like SWP but I think he has been really poor for a while. He seems to have been found out by players - he just seems to lose the ball a lot and other than Newcastle has contributed very little in terms of goals or assists for ages.

I think he needs to be taught he isn't a guaranteed first choice.

Our build up play is too slow and predictable away from home. We never get behind teams so are easy to defend against.

For some reason our mid field can't impose itself on teams so we are constantly on the back foot.

Too many of our flair players go missing.

City haven't won away in the league since Robinho signed.
No doubt I 'll get slated for saying this but this is my opinion:
Generally, Robinho is pathetic away from home and its like playing with 10 men.
Hughes should have the bo!!0cks to tell him to sort it out or drop him.

At home, hes also had a handful of games where he's gone missing.
There is no doubting his skill and ability - I question his desire.
Theres too many games where he doesn't fancy it.

Tin hat now on.

I think your summary is pretty clear and fits the evidence before my eyes this season. Playing for Real Madrid you have decent everyone behind, beside and in front or you. Won't be until next season that we can ship enough people in to provide him with the inspiration, protection, service he would prefer.

To be fair to Robinho we hardly set the world alright in the two away games in the leauge since his arrival where he hasn't played (Fulham and West Brom). Robbie has played 6 away games in the leauge for City, in two of those he's made significant contributions by scoring and getting an assist in each, in the other four he hasn't been great but the same can be said for most of our attacking players away from home
