US & Israel attack Iran

No, he didn't.
Has it resulted in the removal of a despotic dictator? Yes.

Everyone knew this was where it was heading. It had been hinted at for weeks. The UN should have done something about Khamenei years ago. You can't address the evils of this world by committee or bureaucracy. Tens of thousands of innocent Iranians have already been lost as a result of the world 'waiting' for approval.

You really do come across as someone who would have opposed intervention in freeing Fortress Europa unless Parliament approved it.
The reason you seek such approval is because the representatives of the legislative branch who answer to the constituency which represents those sent to and impacted by wars otherwise have no way of offering the perspective of those people. In addition, the short- and long-term consequences on the citizenry of the nation can be considered via the various expert standing committees (including Armed Services) upon which these representatives sit.

I don't seek anything other than the removal of despots who slaughter and murder their own civilians.

Yes, I include Trump in that statement, no, I don't give him any particular 'credit'. I'm simply pleased that (at this moment in time) it looks like Khamenei is gone.

Yes, I know. You don’t know nor have you considered the second-order consequences of this action. It’s not your fault. I haven’t either. That’s why we post in football chat rooms and aren’t national security experts or diplomats. But this is why you get the approval of Congress to do such a thing. Because the visceral immediately-positive consequence is obvious to everyone, but the rest of them aren’t.

'Iran rejects claim Supreme Leader (what a noncey title) is dead'

Hmm, can't wait to hear it from his own lips. What's keeping him? After all he's been awfully chatty all week.

It'll be interesting to see how much support the Shah has, or if Iran's future is that of a Republic with an elected President, or a return to a Constitutional Monarchy.

The Iranian regime has been the biggest funder and weapons supplier of some of the world’s worst Islamist terrorist organisations.

From decades old ties to Al Quaeda to Hezbollah to Hamas to Palestinian Islamic Jihad to the Taliban to the Houthis to the Mahdi Army to Axis of Resistance and of course the IRGC itself in Iran. Money, arms and training have gone into all of them from Iran and terrorist attacks all around the world from many groups have roads leading back to Iran.

Iran will be the equivalent of a limp dick in a porno movie.

In the short term quite possibly, but taking out Khamenei and effectively martyring him could have far reaching consequences down the line. A prominent Muslim religious leader of a country has been assassinated by infidels. Khamenei’s enemies will (understandably) rejoice and his followers will seek revenge and/or his death will be weaponised by those who seek to replace him.

We have no idea how this will play out, but let’s face it this is a regime change war and history shows they rarely end well and often have nasty, unintended consequences.

And if this doesn’t end well, I predict not a single one of the posters celebrating it today will be back to offer their mea culpa.

Accountability starts at home.

Hmm....

And should Ukraine eventually get Putin in the same way...?
Will those on here celebrating his eradication also need to offer their 'mea culpa'?
I offer the Iranian people all my hope and support that they can be free to get this under control.

Edit: Enough have died at the hands of this despotic regime. That some can find fault or worse, try to spin it that the undoubted changes coming are in any way worse than what the Iranian people have already suffered is baffling to me.
