Defence share prices have already been high for several years now, mostly because of European defence investment. BAE has hovered towards £20 since the Ukraine war started but that has flattened. It's now probably too late to get in unless Europe suddenly decided to invest a lot more but that isn't going to happen unless the Russian threat gets dire.

The real manipulation is in other markets such as gold, gold is +2% just today, +25% in 3 months. Before last year (or I guess the Ukraine war) gold barely moved +5% in a single year so what's happening now is insane.

If you were truly in the know of when wars were to start and end then gold has presented a once in a lifetime opportunity.
