Trump not doing himself any favours here. You can’t write the way I would when you’re a fucking statesman. Absolutely zero composure or diplomacy from the man, he’s embarrassing himself.
Let’s face it, he’s been embarrassing himself and his country for a while now. At long last countries are starting to recognise exactly what sort of person he is and adapting, albeit slowly, on how they deal with him.
With him being on a massive ego trip and having lived a life surrounded by people who don’t say no, I don’t think he quite knows how to mentally deal with countries no longer pandering to him. In his business dealings and within this regime that surrounds him, he can simply fire them, but dissent from a country is hard for his mindset to digest. That’s probably why we hear these wild and childish insults and outbursts.
He’s a bit like Hitler, thinks he’s a general and any real generals who are bold enough to point out the errors of his ways are soon ‘retired’.
Based on their own egotistical view that the overwhelming might of their military would prevail, they have overlooked the obvious. Putin did the same in Ukraine. Even without the recent experience of Ukraine, you’d surely look at the issues they had in Vietnam and Afghanistan and learn from them.
His biggest disaster is yet to come if he sends troops into Iran.
When he talks of, ‘unconditional surrender’ and ‘they are finished’ etc, I don’t think this regime understand the mindset of the Iranian people. I believe they assess them in comparative terms to ‘American people’ and they are very, very different, far more ideological and resilient.
I think the big misconception was that massive and continuous targeted airstrikes would soon bring the Iranians begging for mercy.
The US are still traumatised by 9/11 and will be for years, Iran will simply rebuild with hate and retribution in their hearts and be all the more determined to have nuclear capabilities.
He must be under massive pressure from all directions to resolve this and his recent outburst of expletives is a sign of extreme frustration. He doesn’t feel in control of the situation and more to the point, doesn’t know how to resolve the issue.
In his business dealings throughout his very privileged life, he’s often been a bully who has exploited his position and that’s what he’s used to. The Iranians are now laughing at him and taunting him, because they have him firmly by the nuts and there is little he can do about it.
