US & Israel attack Iran

Any Manc advocating terrorist acts has a short fucking memory and needs to fuck off and then fuck off some more.

You should be ashamed of yourself.
You think someone putting themselves in the shoes of another and speculating as to what might be a good strategy for them is the same thing as advocating for that strategy? The former is an example of one of the core tenets of critical thinking, otherwise how do you pre-empt their actions and develop counter strategies? I'd be worried if people weren't speculating and discussing the consequences of these kinds of things.

If anything, your baseless implication that someone is advocating for terrorism is the shameful thing.

The thing is being sweary on social media is pretty meaningless in the grand scheme of things, it’s stuff like this where he does real damage.

The IRGC and any hardliners in Iran can now point to Mike Pompeo saying Mossad stirred up the protests and Trump saying they armed them to justify what happened in January.

I always had this suspicion that the protesters were armed, considering the high number of casualties. Now, they are talking openly about it, the same strategy they did in Syria with the Free Syrian Army and Iraq with the Northern Alliance.

If you say so…

I would have capitalized on something like that after the panic and fear in the aftermath of 9/11

That's the way I would look at things if I was the Iranian regime.
If you take bits out of context then maybe, are you a journalist or something ?

Thank you for your opinion, albeit as crude and disrespectful as it is.
I think you're Donny Trump and claim my £5!!!

It was my opinion regarding what I would consider as an Iranian response to my country being decimated by a militarily superior force.

If I was looking at the situation from an Iranian perspective, with this being an illegal act of aggression on my country, then the accepted rules of war wouldn't apply and I would want to hurt the enemy as much and as hard as I could in response.

"They are lunatics and you can't put nuclear weapons in the hands of a lunatic."

Are we saying that the precedent is set that another country can assess the fitness of your leaders, dictate that you can't have nuclear weapons on the basis of that assessment and then use force against civilian infrastructure if you refuse?

I wonder how the US would react if they were told there were lunatics in charge, lunatics can't be in charge of nuclear weapons and therefore if they didn't give them up we would bomb all their infrastructure? It would surely be a positive reaction as we'd only be doing what they consider to be the right thing.

I absolutely get there being a concern about Iran having nuclear weapons. I also get that we should probably try to persuade them not to develop them, and sanctions were a reasonable attempt to do so. Maybe there's more we could have done to influence their decision-making with carrots too. What I don't understand is why countries think they have a right to enforce their own opinions on others.

By no means am I pro-CCP, but I don't object to some of their recent rhetoric about a need for more balance in the world.

How come no Israeli troops are anywhere to be seen near Iran. No sign of them going in or protecting the straits of Hormuz.

They are the biggest set of fuckin shithouses on the planet.
Only good for terrorising civilian populations, sniping kids and rifling through displaced women's underwear drawers.

Imagine the potential US 'boots on the ground' realise they have enough on their plate and could do without having these clowns involved.

Give over. When someone starts “I would” they are advocating for something, they are saying what they would do.

Shameful.

Come back when you’ve lost friends and relatives in a terrorist attack rather than your Donny Trump digs - I’m glad you find it all a bit humorous.

Give over. I didn't like the post but his "I would" was in response to a post that began "If you were Iran..."

Rather than this little sideshow, just join in the condemnation of the lunatic in the White House.

The latest lunacy is Trump telling the Iranians to rise up against the regime - but you'll probably get shot and killed.
