US & Israel attack Iran

Iran has commited state crimes upon its own civilians? Authorising the state murder of 30,000 of your own civilians is surely not something anybody can just ignore? There is no good that ever came from that Iranian regime.

We talk of international law, criminal courts or war crimes but it is a great point of law to suggest how can international law have any standing at all if it is never applied to all parties? If it was a simple question of who did something terrible then they would all be in the dock so yes they're all twats.

The only stance I agree with is the European stance which is to be defensive, protect our interests and hope that sanity prevails. However, did I shed a tear for the death of Khamenei? No. Did I shed a tear for Trump lighting the Middle East on fire, yes maybe.

Think it's more that they are actually laughing at him because he's a like a toothless tiger.
Iran has wiped his arse for him and he doesn't like the truth so trying to make up some kind of narrative that he's won

Iran will say they didn't agree to anything.

Ships from countries Iran already has agreements with will continue to pass through the strait like they have for the last week. Trump will claim this is open.

Israel will keep bombing Iranian infrastructure, just like they have been throughout the whole 10 day period when Trump said they weren't bombing infrastructure.

I’ve noticed this a lot tonight, what is it with the attacks on the UK for supposedly sucking up to America?

We have made our case clear, and there’s loads going on in the background to support our allies in the area and not supporting an Israel/US led illegal war in the area.

Sounds like people using a situation to promote their own ideology, rather than understanding the realities of a complex international situation.

The Iran regime are absolute cunts, but they’re not daft. They know how this works and will even provoke to strengthen their position.

Israel and the US have allowed Iran to do what they always wanted to do, attack their neighbours and force the rest of the world into economic strangulation.

At the time I believed the 30,000 number in January.

Everything that's come out since is making me seriously doubt it.

In the last week we've had confirmed by Trump and Israeli administrations

- The US deliberately crashed the Rial in December to cause riots.
- Israel launched a massive campaign to stir up protests.
- The USA sents thousands of weapons to arm the protests.
- The only people we are hearing from in Iran are the ones Israel and the US smuggled starlinks to and the BBCs reporting has been shown to be completely compromised as it's run by someone paid by Reza Pahlavi.
- The US has shown it will routinely lie about any and everything involving Iran. Casualty numbers, who is responsible for attacks, war crimes etc.

I still think the IRGC and Islamic Republic are bastards with a long a detailed history of oppressing it's citizens and would love Iranians to overthrow them, and tbh I'm not sure my position on them changes whether the number is 7,000 or 30,000 but we cannot take any numbers coming out seriously any more, and we cannot treat what happened as it was reported at the time. We know for an absolute fact these weren't organic protests, but a deliberate, orchestrated attack on the Iranian government by the 2 countries who illegally attacked it 2 months later because they've proudly admitted as much.


And by doing so, Israel and the Trump admin have successfully set back the genuine growing resistance to the regime that was growing over the past decade, killed any moderating voices, wiped out most of the political anti-IRGC wing that could have brought in modernisation, and gotten thousands of Iranians killed while confirming to the average Iranian that America is the great satan that wants to wipe them out.

All because Netenyahu wanted his war and finally found a US president stupid enough to do it.

Oh and they've likely caused a global recession.

The Iranian 10 point plan is reportedly:

1. Guarantee that Iran will not be attacked again

2. Permanent end to the war, not just a ceasefire

3. End to Israeli strikes in Lebanon

4. Lifting of all US sanctions on Iran

5. End to all regional fighting against Iranian allies

6. In return, Iran would open the Strait of Hormuz

7. Iran would impose a Hormuz fee of $2 million per ship

8. Iran would split these fees with Oman

9. Iran to provide rules for safe passage through Hormuz

10. Iran to use Hormuz fees for reconstruction instead of reparations

If these 10 points are agreed I can see Iran re-opening the Strait of Hormuz and a ceasefire happening.
 
Iranian missiles en route to Israel. Not the best start - could be that the Iranian leadership is fragmented and Iranian Revolutionary Guard leaders are doing their own thing.
