US & Israel attack Iran

Iran will stop attacks on Gulf countries as long as attacks on them stop.

They've agreed to re-open the Strait of Hormuz but a bit sketchy on details.

They've agreed to hold negotiations.

The Iran regime are absolute cunts, but they’re not daft. They know how this works and will even provoke to strengthen their position.

Israel and the US have allowed Iran to do what they always wanted to do, attack their neighbours and force the rest of the world into economic strangulation.

A ceasefire with a temporary oepning of the strait doesn't benefit Iran at all though.

This is an existential war for them and they need it to end in a way that guarantees it doesn't happen again for decades.

If Trump is accepting the 10 point plan they sent a week ago, that would be a massive win for them, no matter how Trump spins it, but I'm still waiting for the official accounts to post.

Have we had anything from any of the official Iranian government accounts yet?

All I'm seeing is a lot of US news agencies reporting...but they've reported a lot of stuff that's been refuted an hour later in the past month.

Exactly. This will be news to them.

Al Jazeera were saying the above came from their foreign minister I think.

Don't be daft. Arrested under a Labour government. Courts (House of Lords) decided ex-presidents were not immune from prosecution for crimes like torture. Maybe his claiming unfitness to plead was a sham, but that was the reason he wasn't extradited to Spain.
Yep, you're right a sham.

Not sure how effective negotiations based on USA 15 point plan and Irans 10 point plan will be, they're a long way apart from each other.

Have a feeling we'll return to where we were 2 months ago, with Iran now able to charge for use of the Strait of Hormuz. And sanctions against Iran reduced or stopped.

Will Israel walk away from their actions in Lebanon? Cant see it.

Will Iran agree to nuclear or regime points in USA plan? Can only see that reverting back to where we were before.

They are a long way apart, but the US accepting Iran’s 10 point proposal is a concession and Iran will be in much stronger negotiating position in any future talks as the US cannot afford for the Strait to be closed again.

The lesson from this is that the country that controls the Strait ultimately dictates the outcome of any conflict. The US choice was simple. Either invasion with ground troops or negotiation. It seems the US choose negotiation.

Not if Hesbo stays. Hesbo would have to leave, then Israel will leave. If IDF isn't there, Hesbo would be in the south which they aren't allow to be. The Iranian group shouldn't be there to begin with, stirring up trouble in the Holy Land. Remember that Lebanon said they will disarm the Hesboys but they chickened out. Israel won't chicken out they will stay to erode the IRGC group.

It's all so transparent now. This ending of a civilization talk was just a setup, a way of making it look like trump and america had won. It just goes to show the lengths that these lunatics are willing to go to control the narrative.

The Iranian 10 point plan has been on the table for a while, it didn't just miraculously appear in the last few hours, trump has lost the war, and capitulated.

The war has also achieved the square root of fuck all. A war with no aim and no endgame.

No doubt the rhetoric will kick into overdrive in the coming days, and this defeat will be hailed as a great victory by maga.

They are Lebanese you fucking moron ... whose very existence is down to Israeli invasion/occupation, you know stirring up trouble in the holy land. As for the IDF eroding them they are not women and children so no fucking chance.

‘An Israeli soldier from the elite Yahalom unit described the ambush on the Litani River opposite Beaufort Castle:"I have been fighting for nearly three years, & I have never seen firepower like this in my life."Hezbollah unleashed around 400 rockets & shells in minutes, including cluster munitions.Soldiers could not lift their heads. They were crawling on the ground just to retreat. Most of the force was hit within minutes, including a lieutenant colonel with serious wounds. It turned into a major mass casualty event.Fighters called it the hardest battle they have ever faced, worse than Gaza or last year's Lebanon operations. One soldier said: "You lie on the ground, crawling to treat the wounded, while your whole body shakes from explosions that never stop."Due to the heavy losses, commanders ordered an immediate withdrawal & abandoned the mission. They even left behind valuable Yahalom engineering equipment. The decision was approved at the highest levels by Northern Command & the Chief of Staff. After pulling out, Hezbollah walked in broad daylight, photographed the vehicles, & seized some of the gear. No Israeli strike came to destroy it.Senior Israeli officers are calling this one of the worst operational and intelligence failures of the entire war.’

Their very existence is to endlessly fight with Israel and violate UN resolutions to stay out of the south. They have done nothing but stir up trouble and cause endless fighting on the border and in the south. Lebanon's government was not able or willing to disarm them despite their clear desire to and passing an internal resolution. Israel or Lebanon do not want to be fighting. The instigator of the fighting is clearly Hesbo and has been for decades which is an extension of IRGC. There will not be peace until they are removed or dissolved. Lebanon does not have sovereignty with the IRGC using their country as a staging ground in their twisted desire to destroy Israel. Lebanon's government doesn't agree with what they are doing anymore. They may have once but they learned it is stupid to fight Israel and they now want it to stop, but can't rein them in because they aren't used to fighting like Israel. Israel has the experience and expertise to get the job done.

If your point is to demonstrate how big of a threat they are to Israel, mission accomplished. I provided context of why they are there.

If IDF leaves, Hesbo will not stop attacking Israel, and they will push closer to the border, which they are not allowed to be according to a UN Resolution. Therefore, Israel has no choice but to fight them in Southern Lebanon and move them as far away from their border as possible, given the very real threat.

As far as the ambush of IDF having to retreat, this can happen. IDF advances as carefully as they can but it is a very dangerous area. The work is necessary to keep such a threat away from their borders.
