US & Israel attack Iran

No, that's where you're wrong.

It is the UK government that has forfeited it's right to appeal to international law by waving away the crimes of it's allies.

If we want to be protected by international law we also have to uphold it, for everyone. If you want Iran to follow international law on the strait of Hormuz, start by tabling motions at the UN opposing the illegal attack on them.
Cops and legislators break the law too. I suppose we should just do away with it.

Whatever Trump decides to do with NATO I think Rutte needs to go.

Cant do his job properly with his head stuck so far up Trumps arse he cant see daylight.

Hes definitely not representing the interests of all members.

I’m also uncomfortable with his smoke blowing up his arse moments which are far too frequent.

I get the politics but he needs to man the fuck up!

The whole 'antisemitism' argument really pisses me off.

There is anti-Jewish and anti-Muslim rhetoric from both sides, and both sides have been guilty of utterly abhorrent behaviour, yet there seems to be an overwhelming push to throw out the 'antisemite' accusations with wilfull abandon when anyone dare say anything against what Israel are doing.

Freedom of religion should be one of the cornerstones of humanity, and people should be free to worship whichver invisible sky fairy they want.

The NYT has confirmed the White House drafted Pakistan PM’s message announcing the ceasefire in which they explicitly mention all the fighting by all allies must stop.

So it seems incredibly likely that the US told Israel they had to stop, Israel said fuck that, and now the White House has spent 2 days lying that the ceasefire didn’t include Lebanon because they’ve lost control of their ally.

Once the Berlin Wall came down and the Soviet Union dissolved, NATO should've disbanded. It was a mistake to keep on growing it and push it right up to Russia's borders. Putin didn't come about accidentally, he was created. Instead of working to properly integrate Russia into Europe, the US kept its cold war mentality because as the global hegemon it always needs perceived threats. Now Europe pays the price.

I'm sure the big European countries have already got the message loud and clear that they need to start cutting the tether to the US, but whether or not that can happen without putting Ukraine at risk amidst a war is another question.

Lunatic.

Looking for any bullshit excuse to backdown, and Pakistan were the patsy.

I wonder what they got in return?

I think if there were 10 Jewish states and only Israel was doing what Israel is doing it would not spur antisemitism. But that's not what is happening. So it seems logical that people have lost perspective of a difference between the state and the religion.

It would be the same if Iran was the only Muslim country. Or if the middle east had the only Muslim countries. Or if a Muslim countries were doing what Israel are doing.

It's just sad. And genuinely tragic for all innocent fair minded people. Regardless of country or religion.

I think this is fading. I am seeing Israel criticised more and more by the general population now, even in the RW press comments sections.
It isn't anti-Christian to complain about the behaviour of the US.
It isn't anti-Semitic to complain about Israel's attacks on Iran, Gaza, Lebanon, Yemen...
It feels like a defence that has worried people into silence for far too long.
An arrest warrant for war-crimes was issued in 2024 by the ICC for Netanyahu. It is time he was brought to justice, IMO.

NATO expanded because Russia are cunts. Not the other way round.

Alternative view, If Russia's neighbours didn't see Russia as a threat they wouldn't have felt the need to join NATO.

Only Ukraine has the tech to beat drones - and AI driven drone swarms and anti-drone swarms wont be with them till late summer.

Fortunately the UK, Poland, Denmark, Sweden, Germany and France are sharing this tech and will be be manufacturing sufficient volumes to stop Russia and Iran in their tracks.

I suspect the Straits will be closed till then.

The best Ukranian interceptor drones have a max range of 25km, they aren't going to keep the strait open but they will help the gulf countries protect themselves.
