One thing. This is a disturbing and sinister thought, but I cannot help but have it.The Secret Service security around Harris had better be bloody watertight from here on in. Better than it was for Trump (and that was a weird, inexplicable business), for sure.
In April 1968, Martin Luther King was assassinated. Almost exactly two months later, Bobby Kennedy was assassinated. There are a cartload more guns swilling around in American society now. Are there fewer crazies?
 
Willy Wonka knew who Joe Biden was when he realized the candy of a potential second term for him was not as important as the potential damage the desire for that candy might have on the country and his sincerely held beliefs…

By the by, guess where the American Taliban… err, I mean the Heritage Foundation took much of their inspiration for the 2025 Presidential Transition Project (aka Project 2025)?

Another presidential transition plan they helped to author in 1979 for a plucky upstart by the name of Ronald Reagan.

The parallels are even worse than that…

LBJ had just stepped back from reelection for the good of the country and left wing groups were threatening to protest and disrupt the DNC…which was about to be held in Chicago!
