Harris speaking to a Wisconsin rally now, the crowd sounds a bit like a panto with lots of "oh yes we will, oh no he won't" but she seems pretty good at it.

Her crowds are different to Biden’s so have a different energy. Far less quiet reverence and far more active engagement.

I imagine Democrats finally having a candidate to be excited about after the last few months, plays a part, as well. A lot of youth energy coming through with Biden’s announcement and her taking his place.

Does this mean that they'd vote for the rapist?
Let’s hope not! His own wife wrote it in a book, and 24(?) women have accused him of sexual assault. He’s been found guilty of 34 felonies regarding election interference for paying off a porn star so it wouldn’t come out that he slept with her and he clearly lied about not having sex with her, amongst a million other lies.

I don’t get it but about 70M Americans seem to be enthralled. I don’t know what that says about Trump, those voters, or America in 2024, but none of it is good!

Chuck Schumer just went all giggly about her as the party's nominee, sounded like an 18-year old the day after the first time he got laid.

She has made a surprisingly (to me anyway) good start. Two strong speeches delivered lightly with absolutely no hate, just here’s my background and this is what I’m going to do. She has enough endorsements from delegates to the Democratic Convention to win the nomination. Attention now turns to who will be the Veep candidate.
Listening to the News Agents yesterday, they were saying that a lot of the "Kamala is a bit ditzy" shtick was actually coming from the west wing, as they didn't want the VP to overshadow Biden.

Now he's 'out of the way' there's more space for her to show the US/world who she really is.

And I know it's only one day into her campaign but she's played a blinder so far.

She knows how to whip up a crowd.

Different energy to Biden.
Nowhere near his levels but there's clearly a bit of the Obamas about her delivery and ability to tap into youth culture and come across as a young vibrant 'with it' candidate - which given she's 60 (I was astounded when I found out she was that old) is pretty amazing.

Today's news cycle has been dominated by Charli XCX endorsing Harris and the whole brat summer trend ffs - I'm in my 30s and even I'm too old for that...

Me too.

Trying to decipher what the fuck that was about.

I know who Charli XCX is, only because I've done some work on a project with her record label many years ago, but I had no idea about the chartreuse green trend and brat summer thing until this afternoon.

Hilariously via watching Jake Tapper on CNN talk about it after finding out via his 16 year old daughter haha.
