US Politics Thread

I’m going to give you a beat to rethink that response…

Clue: It’s not about the government workers getting paid, although they do still have rent payments, utility bills, car payments, insurance bills, etc, etc, to pay for!

It’s not like they’re going on strike or having a day of action over it!

You’re Wimpy and I claim my £5!
It’s not Tuesday and I do not want a hamburger!

Given up being interested in US politics now. They will get what they deserve allowing these mentalists to run the place. They have achieved a total takeover of every single possible branch of power and removed all means of checks, balance and accountability. They may as well be Uganda, they have about as much credibility as that when it was under Idi Amin. Its a total joke of a place. I like that we have sent a long since retired Mandelson out there to represent the UK. He is the epitome of someone who doesnt suffer fools and disdain for idiots just leaks out of his pours. A rising above it and some posh noblesse is something they do not understand. Great manoevre from Starmer I think, personally. Not looking for a row, or validation, or conflict in saying that. I think its a fact

The party of conservative values and adherence to the Constitution has sold its soul to King Donald, because every last one of them is scared to fuck by his threats, and the Constitution is going to have to take care of itself because they are going to put themselves and their future largesse first!

As for Johnson being anything close to a RINO (not rhino!!), he is a “leader” in title only, because he knows that he has to try to get RE-elected in a month or two and if Trump says “Nyet!” then the drones will all line up to execute him!

It’s funny to watch a compromise choice, Christian Conservative kiss the ring of the LEAST Christian President in modern times, JUST to have proximity to power!

WWJD?
Seeing as "moron" is Greek for fool, I guess he'd be calling them morons, as he did for "blind guides"

As someone who always supports the American Dream, I feel that I am in fact one of those people, this Country has been incredible for me and my heart is truly American. Having said that, your post is very true in many ways…..I bet you still contribute to this thread, you know you can’t walk away

Uncle Wally’s opening sentence kind of resonates with me also, recently.
I look in but kind of find it pointless making any serious observations as I sometimes wonder are the two different prevailing attitudes anything more than an acceptance of what seems inevitable on one hand and a worried dread of it on the other.

I honestly don’t know what’s coming but do fear that the consequences will stretch well beyond the American shores.
I don think Ireland will escape what may become a form of bullying.
I honestly don’t know.

It's not obvious; one of what people?

Is Idaho one of the places where, like in the UK, the fewer immigrants you have the more concern there is about immigration?
