It was a skit, they have previous. For example this (while covering a story about people getting hurt taking selfies)

All of these are variations of possibly the most well known comedy routine of all time, Who's on first?

I find it hard to believe. What's more plausible is that they got caught out being dumb and span that bullshit afterwards.

Now there's speculation the Judge will call a mistrial with prejudice blaming the media.
He’s better do that before the Jury finishes it’s work, or they’ll be Hell to pay…either way!

Right now, they’re trying to figure out how to say he shouldn’t have been there doing what he did, without making him into a murderer. There’s NO WAY he gets done for First Degree, but reckless endangerment is a real possibility in an open carry state!

Btw, those are 3 of the most chilling words in America…”open carry state”

It’s such a crazy notion in 2021 in the “Leader of the free world”.
That phrase can only really be used based on the ability to destroy the world a thousand times over, it seems!

When I look around, and I’ve seen A LOT of America, large swaths are a complete shithole and large numbers of places have laws and practices that seem stuck in the 1850s.

To be sure, the National Parks are amazing places, and there is a climate and lifestyle for everyone. However, as my wife likes to say, the country is just too big, too diverse, to manage and things have simply got out of control.

As someone of some means, I could live fairly well almost anywhere in the world, which means I can enjoy a good life in the States. However, there are so few places here where I would want to, it seems ridiculous! And, even some of those places are in States currently run by looney toons!

When one looks at the political geo/demographics of the country, it is clear to see that none of this is going to change any time soon, and swing states are going to have us lurch back and forth between gridlock and over control! My biggest fear is that 2024 will bring an America with all 3 branches of Govt controlled by Republicans and we will have at least two years of outright thievery and stripping of the social contract, not to mention the dissolution of many of the pillars of the so-called American society that even the fairly well heeled will rely in from time to time.

America may have reached a tipping point in January 6th. The question now is did we tip , did we just manage to stop the tip from happening, or did we do just enough to stop the tip from happening for a few years.

In short, is America at the end of its beginning, and January 6th was the beginning of the end OR did Americans learn the lessons of the last 5 years and they will chart a course for sanity and survival of the democracy?

Sadly, I’m not sure upon which side to place my wager, so I’m glad I have an out. I just hope I don’t have to use it!
