Because if they were operating in good faith and reasonably before the election, they wouldn't behave in the manner they have been since November 6th would they? This isn't complicated.

Did you glance at the links I just posted about Biden's record 235 Federal judicial appointments? If you clicked on any of them and read them you'd be struck by this fact - the Democrats are expecting these judges to influence matters for decades.

How could they have this expectation if Trump and the GOP are going to overthrow the state and arrest anyone that does not fall down and adore Apricot Adolf?

Maybe they foolishly believe in the institutions of the American government to keep him in check?

Do you not understand that by 'influencing' he is essentially attempting to return the judiciary to a position of neutrality rather than its current hyper-partisan stance? So yes, he is attempting to 'influence' but not in the way you've been used to under recent Republican rule.

Don't feed the troll. In another era he would have been a carnival geek biting chicken heads off and fed on scraps.

I know his MO, mate, and don’t even read his posts. I just dipped into this thread to voice my view and couldn’t be arsed to argue the toss with dissembling intellectuals or fanatics.

Trump's first term was a shit show. Lots of things are forgotten including the bit when he used his position as POTUS to plug a brand of goya beans. Literally sitting at the desk in the oval office selling beans.

Here's a short list of stuff Trump has sold or tried to sell.

Trump bottled water. Trump steaks. Trump deodorant. Trump vodka. Trump home decor. Trump menswear. Trump vitamins. Trump board game. Trump mattresses. Trump perfume. Trump cologne. Trump pillows. Trump eyeglasses. Trump lighting fixtures. Trump coffee. Trump key-chains. Trump t-shirts. Trump golden sneakers. Trump watches. Trump bibles (my favorite). Trump University. Trump slides. Trump golf shoes. Trump cooler bag. Trump silver coins.
Trump NFTs (including one by Melania). Trump (with Melania) Christmas ornaments. Trump (Melania) jewelry. Various Trump books (including one by Melania). Trump World Liberty Financial (crypto). Trump scented candles. Trump hats. Trump flags. Trump action figures. Trump wine. Trump calendars. Trump phone cases. Trump's Truth Social.

Here is an interesting article from left-leaning Vox about the history of right-wing / conservative grifting.

Has something changed between election day and today to cause the worriers to say "Oh well, nothing to worry about anymore?"

No, nothing has changed.

Did something change between election day and a week later when Biden received Trump in the White House, spoke the words "congratulations" and "welcome" and promised a smooth transition of power? Imagine yourself a black graduate at Howard University before the election listening to Joe Biden tell them Trump is going to take away your freedoms only to see him glad-hand Trump a week after the election.

Joe Biden and Harris are turning over power to someone who they said quite clearly is an existential threat to democracy and a fascist. "Worry" is your new framing because you just cannot admit for one second they lied about what they believed to drive people to the polls. They spoke in bad faith and unreasonably - as did Trump when he accused Kamala Harris of being a Marxist.
Prove that Trump won’t take away freedoms then. Right now.

You don’t know. They don’t know. I don’t know. It’s the FUTURE.

You cannot “lie” about what will happen in the future. You can lie about what you will do. If they’d said “we’ll tell him to fuck himself instead of shaking his hand” then they either lied or changed their minds.

But about what someone else might do? You can say stupid things. You can’t lie.

My point was not that the Democrats have an expectation their judicial choices would wield influence, it was that Democrats have an expectation that influence will last for decades. Joe Biden, Chuck Shumer and Dick Durbin and all the interest groups that are very very happy about the 235 judges cannot simultaneously have an expectation of decades of influence AND and expectation that Trump is going to terminate the Constitution and install himself as fascist dictator.

How do you explain Joe Biden & Kamala Harris peacefully handing the keys to the family car over to an "existential threat to democracy" and a "fascist"? Why aren't Democrat voters arming themselves to march on Washington on January 20th to stop the inauguration?
Would it be constitutional or something like that.

As canadas head of state is charlie and a member of the commonwealth any atempt to annex it surely requires a unilateral declaration of intent to defend Canandian
soveignty from all commnwealth members with imediate sanctions against america and an economic embargo.
Secondly we should invite France to join us in such measures due the shared heritage of Canadians.

Seriously if america was treated as a pariah state and internalionally sanctioned in the way Iran or North Korea are would anyone really give a shit.

I think you're fabricating a contradiction where none exists. It's both possible to think that the appointed judges will have decades of influence while simultaneously fearing that Trump's fascist tendencies may well lead him down the path towards becoming a dictator. One hopes that Trump won't become a dictator, in which case one expects that the new judges will have lasting influence.

I’ve just read “It’s ok to be angry about capitalism by Bernie Sanders” it’s a great read with common sense values.

The world would be a better place if the richest most powerful country in the world could consider the needy & vulnerable before the greed of the most powerful.

Due to be visiting SF four days after the country becomes an autocracy headed up by a criminal. I’m wondering if he’ll have closed the borders by then or declared war on the UK to relieve us from our “tyrannical government”.

Democrats are stupider than I thought

Don't forget, she saved you 40%!

Eh, the trains need money, and the reality is only a small minority drives into that part of the city. They'll get over it.

Perhaps stop the people jumping the guard rails and make them pay the fair? I guess that would be racist tho.
