US Presidential Election, Nov 5th 2024

This also reminds me of how screwed up our Electoral College system is.

Kamala would likely have this in the bag if we just used a normal "most votes wins" system. Very hard to see her losing the popular vote.
its such a mental system that you can legitimately have a president that the majority of people didnt vote for, if you saw that in a third world country you'd say it was a joke

It was designed that way ... the ''concept'' was to provide adequate representation for states that had large slave populations (who obviously couldn't vote)

once again it goes back to the constitution that they so slavishly cling to like the world hasnt moved on as jim jeffries the right to bear arms bit was put in so the population could rise against a corrupt government which was okay when the government had muskets, now the government has predator drones it doesnt work as well.

I’ve been convinced Trump will win for about two years and I’m not changing my mind now sadly.

It’s so tight and the polls always under estimate the right wing vote.

Hope I’m wrong and the “nauseously optimistic” Harris campaign’s numbers are right.
