Can't see Trump being well enough to come back in four years, so hopefully this is the end of it.

He's already losing it imo. Would be a bit embarrassing to watch him have to be in office while very obviously battling the beginning stages of dementia. Joe Biden being so far down the senile path took a bit of attention off how much sharpness Trump has lost. You watch debates from 2016 and he's still fast, witty, educated, and, fucking hell, to his credit, he discusses actual policy as well. Everything since has been a tired retread of the same old act but with all the flashing lights dimmed or turned off. Increasingly paranoid and desperate, another over-75 US politician who can barely remember where the toilet is, never mind remembering the nuclear codes.
 
The impact the President has outside of the US varies based on the global situation. With the war in Ukraine and Israel's continued battle with Hamas/Hezbollah the situation is volatile and the last thing it needs is someone as irrational and reckless as Trump being in power.

There's been a real decline in politics in the UK and the rise of social media has seen widespread lies be dispersed and absorbed as if they're facts. People don't bother sense-checking information or getting a balanced perspective. Perhaps they never did, but I think standards have declined to the point where you can say something like "new hospitals" when you actually mean existing ones, and it doesn't break any rules.

In the US the standard is a lot worse. Trump has just called his court battles a witch hunt, questioned the motivations of anyone and everyone against him and his fans have lapped it up. In the swing states you'd hope that sense prevails, but his economic record was good when he was in power (not all down to him) and we saw in the past two elections in this country that even in areas traditionally red or blue, people will switch if they're unhappy with the current situation and will ignore track records.

Like our election we should hope the grinner wins but with the knowledge its just a smaller shit sandwich. Bit like our lot really.

Getting old and slower isn’t necessarily the beginning stages of dementia or senility, for either of them. It’s not easy being on the campaign trail even for a much younger person and it’s clear Trump is relying on medication to get through it, he wouldn’t be the first. Or should I say, higher doses of medication.
 
Hope Trump wipes the floor with them, i say them as its clear that shithouse Obama is still running the show, everybody is entitled to their opinion and I really want Trump to win , I refuse to be influenced by the media and do my own research and have visited the States regularly and have done under Reagan, Bush, Clinton, GW Bush, Obama, Trump & Biden and having spoken to a lot of Americans they say things have never been as bad as it currently is and all the negativity and hatred being currently spoken is coming from the Democrats

Just so as to inform my own research, would you therefore consider the highlighted to be examples of positivity and kindness?
 
own research is not listening to what everyone on social media says and when you have family who live in the US and see the financial impact that has changed from 2014-2018 then to 2020 - present day you'll understand but you keep listening to idiots who say Trump is a bad man

Tbf to almost everyone on here, I don't think there is any doubt Trump is a bad man, and has been for art least the 40 or so years I have been aware of him.

But I am interested in why people vote for him. Can you give some reasons from your family connections?
