It looks like Trump will in all likelihood take the Republican nomination, with Clinton the most likely to take the Democratic one. The presidential race between those two will be fascinating to watch, I still don't see Trump getting all the way to the White House though. He's so anti everything that Democrats want and stand for that you have to assume he'll be the catalyst for a huge Democrat turn out to ensure he doesn't win, he'll also alienate the more moderate elements of the Republican support too.
If the unthinkable did happen, and Trump did become president, then I shudder to think what he'll do. His foreign policies and opinions will make the USA about as isolated as it has ever been from the rest of the World.
There are plenty who have long-argued that America want to police the world, so they can't win from fears of an isolationism.
I do think Trump is resonating with exactly that message, to concentrate on their own problems and let others do the dirty work.
