It looks better for them with each hour that America is flailing itself into the ground economically, financially, strategically and militarily.

There’s a lot of gullible fools with extremely short memories about. I’d like to say it’s unique to America to have so many idiots but I’ve come to the conclusion that most countries have a similar proportion.

I think there are plenty of deplorables in each country. Maybe I am one too. I don't know.

But I think it is relatively high in the US for a few reasons..size, wealth/poverty, history of slavery & white supremacy, political structure, nationalism, etc.

Presumably in the next few days there will be a declaration of victory in the tariff war, some boasts about how much money it’s brought in and a quiet return to the pre April status quo which will allow the markets to recover. In one way, I would absolutely love it if China told him to fuck off, but I’m also conscious of the global implications of a US economic meltdown.

They have repeatedly said they will keep the 10% universal as a base tariff, and I think they need it to raise money so they can give it to billionaires.

So my best guess would be 10% across the board, but retreat from the silly "reciprocal", so not a return to before.

But who knows? Trump loves the limelight and loves tariffs, and is competent ignorant of economics and trade. Anything could happen

He inherited his wealth but as you say he is unable to invest it profitably leaving a litany of losses in his wake.

It’s actually insane that the **** thought for a second this was a battle the US could possibly win.
