US/UK launch strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen

In that that statement they emphasised nations not escalating the fragile balance of peane and had great concerns, to me that is vieled criticism of people intefering in the area while remaining diplomatic

I took it to mean go ahead and bomb the hell out of the Houthi rebels if you want to, while remaining diplomatic.

Diplomacy, eh?

It isn't about hating the west, but questionimg some nations actions, along with question those naions in the east that are also duvious.

Anyway in a global society that the world is now west and east is an antiquated construct and believing one set of values in particular are something to be forced or encouraged on others is backwards thinking, we've been doing that since the 40s and look where we've ended up with the CIA ruining regional stability in south america and the middle east.

Blinding looking after your own interests and not looking at international understanding and co-operation is a colonial mindset best left inthe past

If the objective was regime change then you’d have a point when discussing our values.

That isn’t the case here though. The objective here is to try and put the Houthis back in their box and to stop harassing global shipping lanes.

Neither does it in this case.
Correct - attack ships and war ships in international waters and the use of force to stop any more attacks is acceptable.
There were 18 (EIGHTEEN) drones and 3 (THREE) missiles launched against shipping on Thursday morning that triggered the response.

So it wasn’t criticism then. Just your take on it.

As for those cunts on the march chanting for Yemen and the Houthi’s attempts to block sea traffic, go fuck yourselves.

Think we should divert the boats around the Cape of Good Hope for now, swallow the inflationary effect and tax large corporations via a windfall tax to cover the cost to the poorest in our society.

We should avoid escalating this when there are practical, albeit painful alternatives available.

Long term, this type of situation is only going to get worse as drone technology becomes more ubiquitous. The world’s poor are getting better at asserting themselves. This obviously includes in relation to migration as well as disrupting international trade.

I'll start to worry when the nukes are set off..until then I'll keep my booze fully stocked up
