If he was any good he'd be playing professionally now. Athletics is a considerable distance behind football in terms of kudos.
Ben Johnson tried American Football to little effect. I also recall my Dad telling me that there was a Rugby League player many moons ago who was a sprinter and he that he was shit too.
I think we sometimes underestimate how good professional footballers are compared to the rest of us.

Yes as SWP Walcott and Lennon have no skill and just use pace all the time. One of the stupidest comments I've read in a while. Not in Jamaica, Athletics is pretty big their from what i've been told/I watched Cool Runnings once or twice.
He won't have anything about him though, apart from the speed. Would love to be proved wrong though.
