It was €1.5 million. In todays paper they had a ad in it saying.
1 If Tiger won. Well Done Tiger Backers you got your money 2 days early from us!
2 If Tiger blew it. Well done Tiger backers you got paid anyway. And to people who backed the eventual winner; good effort , you know your golf better than us.
With the time the add was placed at. No matter how much they lost from this you never see a poor bookies and it is great advertising for them so it is a win even though they lost.
