Forget the Utd fans with the tinted red glasses and just take a moment a think of those reds that are football supporters, there must be a few.
When they approach what was a Gray cold 'council house' their words only 3 years ago and now see what is happening at the Etihad and surrounding area they will be very worried. The scale of the work that has been done and the work still going on will no doubt cast more doubt on what are they doing at OT. Their ground is at maximum capacity, little land around to capitalise on income and a team struggling to get back into the CL which in 12 months will have an even bigger knock on effect commercially.
I would imagine reds approaching the Etihad today that may not have Ben anywhere near the area in the last couple of years are going to have one hell of a wake up call today.
Here is hoping to continued success starting with a Derby win for the Blues.

The rag supporters that don't wear red-tinted would probably be the older generation that used to watch both City and United and say things like "I'd rather see United and City going for the title than Chelsea/Liverpool/Arsenal etc".

For the regular away trippers I imagine it will be a little bit of a shock seeing all that metal.

Will the meeters and greeters adopt a cockerney accent, to make them feel at home, maybe a pearly cap?

They won't give a shit. No doubt they'll amuse themselves by laughing at the expansion as there are 20k empty seats at each and everyone of our home games. We should have a sweep on how long after the gates open will be the first chant from them of 'what a waste of money' while pointing at the building work. I'll go for 25 mins.

I've yet to see the Campus/Training Ground etc because it's on the far-side of the ground to the City Centre.

General area has improved, but that's not just City related

They won't care what's happening at the Etihad as long as it doesn't affect Virgin rail.

Haha. I was pissing myself laughing at a rag couple decked out head to toe in rag tat at Leeds station last Sunday.

The West coast mainline was in chaos and the "victims" had been re-directed on to the East Coast. It lifted the gloom from the post West Ham Blues.

I was going to have a word with them to suggest that they don't step out of the station, but they looked too funny to get beaten up - even in Leeds!!
