Uwe. Absolute Hero.

I was lucky enough to be in club Wembley for the final and there was a dinner before the game and there were a number of celebs in there - Ricky Hatton and his entourage of yes men and hangers on ;-) were a couple of tables away, for example.

Uwe was in there, and whilst I try to make a point of not going up to famous people if I ever see them out as it's not fair on them and just serves to make you look like a ****, I couldn't resist when on the way for a slash, I saw Uwe stood on his own.

I went straight up to him and said - 'I just want to say that I think that you're brilliant'. And with that I walked off. He did thank me as I was walking away- at least it seemed like he did at the time!

I only remembered it just now and I'm surprised at how unembarrassed I am by it. But let's face it - he is fucking brilliant.

City through and through. Love the guy.

It would have been bad form not to say something to him. A proper modern day City legend, and a top bloke too.

Count me in with the adoration of Uwe Rosler.

Love the guy and wish him EVERY success.

Even if he never becomes our manager, would love City to give him a role as a coach, scout, ambassador, anything.... in the future

we played sheff utd jan 97, night of my birthday, went to the match then into town afterwards, was in royales, was the midweek 70's nite they did.

Rosler was in there with Dibble and i think Kernaghan, wasn't gonna bother him, but went over and said hello, glad i did, was a top bloke, had a beer and a chat about the game being shit and come away with a top photo,

we both had hair then :-| lol

Down the years certain players have fallen in love with the club and the club has fallen in love with them
Rosler then the Goat and I am certain the next is Zabelata.

I think you could add Vinnie tothat list too.

i'd like it if roberto mancini was our manager in a few
years time.

He was my hero when i was a kid when everyone was going mad for Kinkladze, it was Uwe who i saw on the pitch, loved him.

Uwe Rosler is a top guy glad he as recovered form that terrible illness. The doctors must have caught it early, as I lost my younger brother too the same illnes back in March 2009.

My favourite City player, ever! Doesn't matter who we ever sign, doesn't matter how much I like players like Zabaleta or de Jong; nobody can touch Uwe Rösler!
