Final league game before the knockout phase of PL2 begins, we have a chance to finish top outright and a win would seal it.

A draw if it's settled by goal difference pretty much confirms it too.

A first start in over a year for Ashton Muir, who looked great at times last season with his direct approach. Alfie Harrison returns to play against us too, for a Newcastle side that usually tries to play the right way.
Surprisingly though it's not available to watch which is a shame, as it'll probably turn out to be a good game but still thought I'd create a thread.

Team news for tonight's game...

Score updates will be here but I'm not sure if other sites update quicker...

The academy page will also probably provide updates too...

Thanks. Will follow updates but, as you say, it's a shame it's not broadcast.

Hard to believe he's just 20

Whatever level Mubama finds himself playing at he's going to be a constant menace due to his positioning and intelligent runs, that's without pace or strength cos his movement off the ball getting into the right places at the right time is very good, it's already better than most seasoned pros so as long as he keeps an honest and humble attitude he should have a good career.

I'm not saying he's going to be top drawer or a world beater just because of this rare quality but it's obscene how most strikers today somehow lack this ability, years ago a lot higher percentage of strikers than today had those natural instincts to move into space and get on the end of chances, it's quite shameful how so many now lack it whatever the reason whether it's bad coaching or the demand for target men / pace merchants.

I'm totally convinced that even Shaun Goater if he started his career in say just the last decade, he'd have a pretty decent Prem career due to his aggression and determination in always finding himself in the right place.

How's Alfie Harrison looking nowadays?

Always liked him but his injuries set him back big time, hopefully he goes on to have a good career.

I can see why he moved on with what was in front of him here and having another good opportunity, only time will tell if he'll succeed but he always seemed to have good quality and intelligence.

First half looked like total dominance...

This is the full-time stats...1000103560.jpg

The top 16 qualify for the playoffs, both the dippers and WBA can still qualify...

Think we'll have to wait until the last two games are played, before finding out who our opponents are in the the playoff section.

Looks a step above this level, and does have an honesty and humility to his game. Expect he will do well out on loan next season. Similar Alleyne if not with first team, gone past this level now

He looked an absolutely nailed on superstar in the making, before covid and his injuries stopped him dead in his tracks. Goes to show, there's no guarantees in life.
