He comes from a genre of entertainment that was inoffensive and of its time - sort of satirised by the likes of the Mike Flowers Pops - but as ever its sad to see parts of one's childhood depart. Better them exit quietly stage left like this than into solitary like Rolf Harris and the others thats all I can say.....

RIP. I've fond childhood memories of listening to Delaney's Donkey and Paddy McGinty's Goat.
