Valencia is one club that might sell given their position in the league and their continuous financial struggles. €25-€30m should be a fair price, I guess.

Another thing to add. Txiki has a good relationship with Valencia. The Otamendi and Torres transfers happened when Valencia had financial issues.

Well, the Otamendi transfer to us partly happened because Valencia still owed us from the Negredo deal. So I'm sure we leveraged that despite higher offers for Ota at the time.

Torres, himself, had a 100m release clause at the time I believe, but was bought by us for a little more than his old release clause of 20 something mill.

If City is indeed interested then there is an opportunity.

When there are financial issues at a club (but FFP is supposed to prevent this from happening!), it's not a case of how much but how much UP FRONT. If City were to offer €25m but give Valencia all of it in one go then you can see how a cash-strapped club might be tempted.
