Valencia in for Negredo?

Just have to trust the club on this. To buy him for 16.4million and then sell him for a really hefty profit (at age 29) is sound business. It hurts some fans that we don't splash the cash these days, that is not sustainable. Let's not forget that we have tied up the core of our squad for 4 to 5 years by which time we have to be in a position of developing our own talent. Funny after all the abuse levelled at us for spending so much and evidently ruining football I doubt Utd or Liverpool will suffer the same! What the Reds have spent over the last four windows is ridiculous. Trust is the key and I for one trust those running our club.

At the end of the day Negredo would have been out for a couple of months & was due to be left out of the CL squad

We still have a war chest should we need someone come January

€30mil euros for a soon to be 30 year old making an 8 million profit is good business whichever way you look at it

£8m and losing the league would end up being the most stupid "profit" we ever made.

The Chelsea forum thinks it's great news. Tells you all you need to know.

They are worrying about the wrong City striker...

City confirm it's an obligation to buy not an option.

No more beauty and the beast :(

I saw that sad smily and read option and I freaked out that it was only a loan. Phew.

Considering he was out for couple of months and probably wouldn't have been registered for Europe added to the fact he wanted the move getting £24 mill is probably best all round. Could we have brought in a decent replacement with the fact whoever it was wouldn't be in the c/l squad, probably not.
Maybe we will see a move towards 433 which is Txiki's favoured formation for the club.

I thought we paid over 20 million for him .
I don't think we will make a profit of 7 million .

Haha! At least we have made a profit long term. Here's hoping we aren't left looking short upfront.

One thing people neglect is that Yaya is going to pushed further forward when Fernando and Fernandinho play.

Well United don't give a shit about destabilising the transfer market and inflating wages and transfer fees. Liverpool don't give a shit that they have stopped Southampton from organically growing in to a top team by buying all of their players. They don't give a shit because their money is good money, out money is bad money.

Any moral argument a rag or dipper uses against City can be chewed up and so at out because the truth is they are just bitter that we are the biggest dog in the yard now.

Who gives a fuck what Chelsea fans think

Here's an idea..try getting behind your own club

We are still the strongest squad in the league with enough power in midfield that we could play 1 striker if we felt it necessary

We have three

Seriously..spoilt cunts
