Im lucky to have a girlfriend who's very down to earth and see's valentines day for what it is. We eat out at least once usually twice a week anyway so we both thought its not worth paying more and having poor service because we are supposed to. Instead we're going to cook something nice at home and we're booking a long wknd in the lakes in early march. I will be buying her roses though and a little something.....

Dont bother with rip off fucking cards, flowers, chocolates etc, buy some decent grub, wine and cook up a nice meal at home, the other half will appreciate this much more in my experience.
