Value Gold 14/15

I'm an extremely satisfied Value season ticket holder of four years. The money I save comes in handy and enables me to get the cup ties, Wembley and the odd away, but if it wasn't available I'd still pay full whack like everyone else.

Football has priced loads of supporters out of going to the match, it would be a great thing if City gave the chance for low income supporters to take season tickets. If that was at the expense of my Value season ticket, I'd take it on the chin, I've definitely had my moneys worth in the last few years.

Maybe there should be a vote on the OS for who's most deserving...?

We could all make videos showing how poor we are and what a difference it would make to our sorry lives if our middle class fellow fans could find it in their hearts to allow us to pay £300 up front to go to a football match every fortnight and sit on our own.

I've read some shit on this forum but means tested tickets??? Astonishing.

Come back Brookie, all is forgiven!

I actually thought he was taking the piss when he said means tested then realised he was deadly serious,it really does seem to have annoyed some folk city doing these cheap tickets and who's getting them
As far as I'm aware you had to go down queue up or phone up & it was open to anyone who had a season card the year before, good luck to the ones who got them I say.

This is how I feel, I have probably saved over £1000 ,this is my 5th, on the other hand lost around 3000 points, my choice ,no complaints
Once again thanks CITY

it doesn't matter how many are made available, a number of blues will get to see games they could not normally afford.

well done city I say.

Only to existing season ticket holders who could afford before they introduced this.

It should just be to people in receipt of means tested benefits or low household incomes, not to some £100k a year fan who wants to save a bit of cash.

The club aren't going to means test the fans! I wouldn't even know how they would do that? Bank statements? Inspections?

Although I do think you should not be able to go value gold in consecutive seasons. They should give as many fans who want the chance of cheap tickets to benefit.

I can't see what all the fuss is about... value gold Is first come first served and fills a percentage of the single seats left after season cards have been sold..

If you are short of cash.... Buy one, it's not rocket science (if you can't afford the £299 in one lump save it)

I'm able to afford a full price ticket thankfully but as I don't care where I sit I've been value gold for the last three seasons so far

If I get a stellar seat I'll buy it for full price the following season.... Simples

I bought online this time round, piece of piss, took 2 minutes tops

Am i imagining it or when city first did value gold one of the rules was you get no loyalty points for having the season ticket? Sure that was the case. I don't have one, mostly cos me and mum have sat in the same seats since the move, which were the same spot as our kippax seats, which were on the same spot we used to stand on.. so we got a bit attached to the view!! Not really got the cash though, but poor eyesight with mum (and she hates heights!) means she couldn't cope with being in the top tier - and there's a chance of that with value gold so we can never do it really.

But yeah, re the points - was that the case when it all first started? And is it still the case now? I'm sure they made a big deal of it being a stripped down ticket, so not giving you points, as well as not being able to choose your seat - whereas now its just marketed as you don't pick where you sit, and no other "sanction"(?!) listed.

I'm as cynical as anyone but how people can find negatives in this I don't know.

A few points.

Value IS gold. The same points apply and always have. The ONLY difference is the club pick your seat.

It isn't just for Billy no mates. Two of us have sat together every year since it started on value.

The club don't release the figure but it is a LOT more than the 500 someone suggested.

Any season ticket holder from last year could have easily bought a value this year. They opened nine windows bang on 9 am and by half past they were sat twiddling their thumbs waiting for people to turn up. I've not heard of a single person either who tried buying one online or on the phone at 9am who didn't get one sorted before they sold out.

I'm going to be sat in a great seat on row C, third tier, of the Maine Stand for less than my mate has paid to stand up at Rochdale next season.

There's no negative in that.

Entrance E,C Aisle 305 East Stand Level 3 305 P

That my friend, is a cracking view (halfway line 16 rows from the front)

3 rows in front of where I was last year mate. Just for your info, block 305 seat no. 136 is exactly on the half way line, so if you are aisle 305 block 305 you are marginally to the South stand side of the half way line, but probably no further than the edge of the centre circle away. Great view, takes a while to get used to the flight of the ball on long high balls.
