Van der Sar's Wife Seriously ill

The wife of Manchester United goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar is seriously ill after a stroke.
Van der Sar is at his wife Annemarie van Kesteren’s hospital bedside in Holland awaiting test results.
Sportsmail understands Annemarie, 36, collapsed at home last Wednesday as Van der Sar and the couple’s two children, Joe and Lynn, were preparing to celebrate Christmas.

Crikey, at 36 too, you have to feel for them both. Lets hope she makes a full recovery. Best wishes to both.

Very sad for the man and we can only hope she makes a swift and full recovery so she will have all our best wishes,if it was one of our players wives or family could you honestly say you would read the same type of comment on 'RED ISSUE' I dont for one minute think you would, but there again they are all idiots and scumbags on there

I agree with you re. the "deciding point" issue. Wasn't he thinking about retirement at the end of the season anyway, even before this sad development?
