Since Premier league started:
Manchester City £703,180,000
Man United £531,150,000
Man United -19 Titles
Man City - 1 Title
I wonder how much more are you going to spend to win another 18/19 titles ;)
I know, i know that prices have gone up and United spent more in them old days but let's say both teams are established now and have a decent squad, so which team will spend more in the upcoming years?
Don't go on about United being skint because if Dumb American Liverpool owner can spend money on piss poor players then so can United as United are one of the biggest club in the world but just because Fergie doesn't like paying over the odds for world class players every season doesn't mean he has no money to spend.
Also i keep reading about the debt but the debt has nothing to do with United, it's to do with Glazers and suppose they put the club up for sale, they could easily get 1.5-2 Billion whereas, if Sheikh puts this club up for sale, he would get like what, 1/3 of the price which is no way near what he has already spent on this club.
Oh dear! Can't let this unbelievably shit post lie. Where the fuck do you Rags get this sort of billocks from? This post epitomises the 'United fan in blatant know nowt about United's history, shocker' sort of person that are in absolute abundance with United as a set of fans.
For a start you've won 12 titles in the Premier League era, not 19. Football did not start in 1992 and four other clubs have won titles other than you.
Plus when you were pulling in crowds under 1000 and were about to go bust, John Henry Davis came along and changed your clubs name, built you a new ground across town, stole our club name, stole Salford RLFCs club colours, stole Lancashire CCCs stadium name, and bought you a full new team of players with which you won two league titles and an FA Cup. Without that mega investment, there would be no Manchester United, never mind 19 titles. You bell end! (You also stole Salford RLFCs nickname further down the line, you plagerist wankers!).
Low and behold nobody gave a shit about your club again as United were pulling in crowds less than 4000 at Old Trafford and went 37 years without winning a trophy and were about to go bust again. James W Gibson came along and spent a load of money on the club to save their bacon. Without Gibson there would have been no Mancester United, never mind another 17 titles.
You went over a quarter of a century without winning the title so assembled the most expensive team of players ever seen in English football and started winning titles again. This is with money that was made by trying to poison school children with dangerous food sold to schools. Only a few levels down from genocide (didn't Louis kill himself due to this? Although the "official" story of his death is told differently!).
So since when did it become a crime to spend money on a business to make a business successful? Because it's done your club very well over the years. Without mega investment your club wouldn't exist and would be long forgotten. So stop with your fucking bullshit and read up on the history of your club that you clearly know fuck all about.
We have paid over the odds for players, I think we were very naive from the start of Sheikh Mansour's reign, sometimes stupid. But have a look at how much you've spent on your current goalkeeper and that "Andesron" (spelling mistake done on purpose - lol), as just two examples, and then pretend you don't also pay over the odds for players.
Oh and Sheikh Mansour won't be selling City so stop trying to cream yourself over the thought of it. We're going nowhere. Our little club that's worth fuck all is going to be breathing down your neck for your titles and beating you to many titles over the coming decades so hope the uncomfortable nature of that sits well with you. We're going nowhere and we'll continue to spend money because that's what businesses do to grow and succeed.
